I took a break from Nintendo consoles during the struggling Wii U years. But I bought a Switch a few months back and I am back in the game with this awesome new console. I am looking into what game to get next after finishing the last ones I bought. So I would love some suggestions.
I have beat Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (10/10)
I have played and gone through Super Smash Bros (10/10)
Now, I am looking into what to purchase next. I have enjoyed the demo for Splatoon 2 and pondered making the big purchase for that and I have debated Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu, but I am hesitant as I am not an avid Pokemon Go player and fearful of the whole "No battling the Pokemon you catch" concept. I have also been looking into some of the cheaper games. I am not too much into Scroller games, or 8-bit games (Some exceptions such as Stardew Valley which I have on my phone and unique Scrollers like Cuphead).
I also am not currently too interested in the regular Mario titles, such as Mario Kart, Mario Aces, or the Toad title. I have debated Mario Odyssey, just not sure if it will scratch my current itch.
Maybe knowing what I am looking forward to will help you with your suggestions. I am very excited about Zelda: Links awakening, My time at Portia, the new Pokemon title, the new Pikmin title, and possibly some new fun ports coming from the Xbox ports.
I'd highly recommend Octopath Traveler. My experience with JRPGs is pretty limited, but Octopath is absolutely gorgeous, and has interesting characters and an amazing soundtrack. Also, Arms is super quirky, but super fun, even if it doesn't have a ton of content or variety.
