After reading the review here I got interested in the game. I think it looks pretty good and I'm not too worried about a bit of pop in or occasional slowdown. Since season 1 is easily available on Netflix, I decided to give the TV show a shot before making a decision to buy the game and wow, it's really good. This is the first Japanese show I have ever watched and I clearly picked a winner. Since starting the series yesterday, I'm now 16 episodes deep and have plans to complete both seasons before I play the game. I pre-loaded the game onto my Switch today and am looking forward to jumping into the world I've been watching all weekend.
It looks pretty good in portable mode too:
Anyone else plan to getting this? The online component looks fun and it would be cool to play with some people around here.
Those whom got this pre-order from Amazon what did you get the DLC 4 character costumes through email? I didn't save the screen shot of Amazon so I don't know what it said for DLC.
Hi lovely people! I'm thinking of expanding my library a little and am considering Attack on Titan 2. It seems fun and it looks good enough, but considering it (hopefully) is fairly action-heavy I worry about huge drops in frame rate, especially in handheld mode as I lately have been playing my Switch almost exclusively as a handheld. Anyone knows if this is a problem or are my concerns unwarranted? I don't throw a fit over minor drops, or even heavier ones if they are few and far between, but I do need the game to be playable. Any insights would be appreciated.
I only have Nintendo consoles, so buying it for PS4/Xbox One where it potentially would be less of a problem is not an option.
@NotAceAttorney I've beaten the game, but I have not watched season two. That said, I've read a couple reviews for the season, and I'm pretty sure all major points are covered. Of course, if a scene in season 2 didn't involve Omni gear, it's not going to be in the game.
For example, Reiner just gets an arm cast. There's no explanation or reason for why he was hurt, unless you watched the episodes of Utgard castle.
Although AOT 2 does have a lack of post game story. AOT 1 had several missions based on the beast titan, they weren't cannon/made solely for the game, but they were a nice addition. AOT 2 could technically have one post game story mission, but...I think the less said about it the better.
Hello, everyone!
Quick question: Does this game have Multiplayer?
I bought it specifically for that, but I haven't had any luck actually finding that mode in the game. I've progressed far enough to unlock Another Mode, but that too seems to be single player.
@SomeWriter13 Another mode is actually the game's multiplayer. After choosing a character, you're given three options: Online, Offline, and Local play.
@SwitchForce The last time I entered a code for something, way back to Rabbids Battle Kingdom, there is a "enter code" tab in the Eshop which is how I got the pre-order DLC.

I know that part - it's where do you see the DLC option after you entered the code where do you get the 4 custom pre-order costumes to be used at?
Hey so I got the cartridge version for this game but everything is in Japanese, is there a way to change the language to English? I’m not talking about the audio, I mean like the UI and the subtitles and stuff.
I rented this a couple months ago and liked it better than I thought I would. I’m a big fan of the manga, but assumed the gameplay wouldn’t be great. The price finally dropped to $40 so I grabbed it. Since the price drop all the Best Buys in my area are selling out. Don’t know if they’ll restock, but if you still have Gamer’s Club you might want to grab it for $32 before they stop carrying it.
