@BruceCM I think it reminds me a lot of XC2 and Torna, so much so that I'm already calling them driver and blade, but I've never ever seen not even one article or comment make that same connection. Just my kids. Which seems strange as it looks so similar to me. Though 1 is obviously a JRPG and 1 an action game, but still surprised nobody has mentioned it yet if only to say "yes these games look alike but they don't play the same at all".
And like XC2 and Torna I think I'm just going to watch my kids play co-op b/c Damo described all of the buttons being used and it sounded even crazier than XC2 and Torna which was boggling my mind how much the Switch can pull off on screen at once. (Though not nearly as much craziness as a Necromancer, Monk and Wizard have on screen at once in Diablo 3, b/c every 20 minutes or so I'm commenting how it's unbelievable the Switch doesn't freeze, lag or crash, like the Wii U always did in those Lego games.)
@NintendoByNature Yeah, I finally caught up to all the chatter about every Switch game being $10 cheaper at Walmart. I used to be on CAG all the time years ago and would know this stuff, now I'm lazy and just ask when I have a question.
Someday we'll find it
The rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers and me
I'm deeply unsurprised it got great reviews, it just does more to confirm what I already assumed. Buying it probably within a week or so of release, which is rare for me nowadays.
Any consistent reports on length of the game? I’m afraid to start this while I’m only 5 hours into FE but it looks really good.

@Ryu_Niiyama I have been hearing around 15-20 hours total, with doing barebones side content. But if you do all side content it can balloon slightly to 25-40? It's a bit inconsistent, but 15-20 hours seems the right amount for casual run.
Seems the main hours will come from redoing stages with higher difficulty or wanting higher scores.
@darkfenrir ok yeah I’m getting this. I tend to blow through a Platinum game and then go back later during a game lull to up my score. Thank you.

They're setting groundwork to allow for future sequels and they'd like to make sequels, but Astral Chain will stand on its own just fine, or at least that's the hope. We'll see come Friday.
Metroid, Xenoblade, EarthBound shill
I run a YouTube/Twitch channel for fun. Check me out if you want to!
Please let me know before you send me a FC request, thanks.
@scubydo Apparently that was a slight mistranslation. The game's director said he has ideas for how it could become a three-part series and he'd rather do that than make paid DLC; he didn't mean that the story is intended to be the first part of a trilogy.
Edit: My bad, I didn't see that you'd already been replied to
