Well this was announced out of nowhere. Ark: Survival Evolved is coming to Nintendo Switch, with the same visual and gameplay features as other consoles. I definitely wasn't expecting this, but it's good to see big games come to Switch nonetheless, and it looks pretty good in portable mode.
What are your thoughts?

Pretty awesome news. Some of my friends really like this. MAAAAAYBE I'll check it out. Probably not, to be honest, though.
I still say WoW needs to come to console at some point. Blizz could even do a console-only version that is more action oriented (AKA stripped down lol) and it would sell millions all over again.
@rallydefault I think the main issue with WoW would be cartridge/download space considering how much content there has been over the years that is still viable & Blizzard's subscription model. I can't see Nintendo allowing Blizzard to charge for basic access to a game that people will have already bought at the store/downloaded. Though I could possibly see a spin-off making it's way to the Switch.
Ark looks impressive though... there will be a lot of trade-offs for making it run on Switch's hardware such as a lower draw-distance and fewer mobs on screen, but if done well it could run just as well (if not better) than the PS4/XbxS versions.

@OorWullie Might be because they got a mobile version up and running. The ARM architecture is very common for mobile devices and it just so happens that the Switch also uses that architecture for its CPU.
I wouldn't be surprised if those Fortnight and PUBG rumours turn out to be true since it's another source of income the devs can get from porting the mobile versions using similar tech.
