Well, I can't play much on a single day, not more than 2 hours, since I have multiple and unstable jobs and I'm also studying. I'm far from beating Zelda, and I'm near the end of Blaster Master.

For me, I know I will have some more good times with these games, and I can't wait to play the two Wonder Boy games, Splatoon 2 and Arms. And, for me, and for the time I have, four games in 3-4 months are A LOT.

Also, there are some other great titles I'm not interested in, so... The "honeymoon" is not over yet!

It's dangerous to go alone!

I am actually looking forward to Lego City Undercover! It's a fantastic game that was plagued by the insane loading times on the WiiU and as such I just burned out on it not too far in the game.

If they could have reduced these loadingtimes by at least half I will be over the moon already and will be playing the heck out of it.

But Yeah. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, I probably buy it, but I have played that game to Death for two years with my son, so we are kinda burned out on it.

Splatoon 2 will be mostly my son that is interested in it.

So for me.... there isn't much this year other than Super Mario Odyssey. I could care less about all these Indy games. I want some big titles.

Still using my Switch everyday, Isaac and Zelda give you so much to do.

Splatoon 2 was fantastic, so when that hits we'll have one of the best online multiplayer games and now with voice chat.

Just got mine less than a week ago, so the honey moon phase is still very much alive and by the time I'd consider the honey moon to be over, I'll probably have just finished Zelda and Mario Kart will be available along Shakedown Hawaii. Two games I'm really looking forward to playing (Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will be kind of new to me since I never got the DLC for the Wii U version).

Yep, the honeymoon is totally over for me. We've settled in to the comfortable post-honeymoon phase, where I don't spend all day wishing I was with her and all night (every night) playing with her. It's still love though.

But seriously, I've been spending a fair bit of time with my 3DS. Breath of the Wild is great, but it demands my full attention. Sometimes I just need to play a game that doesn't. I've got an insanely large stack of 3DS/DS JRPGs that fill that need, so I swap between the Switch and the 3DS almost daily depending on my mood. And that's okay.

I'm not bothered about there being a honeymoon period or not, I bought my Switch for the long term and only bought it Day 1 cos I found a good offer, otherwise I'd be waiting til Autumn at least. I've got a mountain of other games to play etc.

But I am a bit surprised that there's still only one game in my Switch collection. Other than Snipperclips (which there's no point in me getting yet cos my Switch is still a secret so can't play multiplayer), there's nothing on the eshop that I want to get. I thought they'd be some Nindie stuff by now that I'd want, but there's not.

I loaded up the eshop last night to see what could tempt me, and there's nothing. Those Neo Geo games can wait for a sale.

Again, I'm not bothered by it, I really don't need any extra games right now, just a bit surprised.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

I have never got a Nintendo console — or any system for that matter — and thought about the system itself. The system is the game, be it Super Mario Sunshine, Twilight Princess, Halo 3, Skyrim (bought 2 360s because that system was a quite literal garbage machine), Uncharted 3, Shadow of Mordor (8th gen tho), or Breath of the Wild.

Right now, Breath of the Wild is a top tier open world game and a somewhat interesting, ultimately disappointing Zelda game. So, y'know, it's no less than what I got for buying a PS4. The hardware function itself is really interesting and convenient, and I'm excited for Mario Kart 8 when that comes out. Not sure what a 'honeymoon' is supposed to be — with all the hatred leading up to launch, you have had ample opportunity to check your expectations.

@Kogorn733 I don't think you're describing the end of the Switch honeymoon, I think you're just describing running through games you like and waiting for more that you like. It doesn't sound like your opinion of the console changed, just your desire for more content that interests you. Topic's a little different than the question I think. And if you already played MK8, Lego City, etc. on WiiU then yeah the lineups thinner than you'd like.

If you don't mind downloading stuff (normally I do but I'm making an exception), don't give the indies an instant pass. There's good stuff out there. RMX should be physical, it's an amazing arcade racer. Snake Pass just came out, Has-Been Heroes I'm just getting a feel for. Simple, browser-looking game but addictive so far. Setsuna, wish I could help but I'm STILL waiting for my import physical copy!

Did you try the Splatoon 2 testfire? Nothing underwhelming about it unless you disliked the first game or just burned out. I'd abandoned the first and got sucked right back in. I went from "maybe' to "when's my preorder ship or should I just do digital to have it always there?" and don't forget Disgaea in May. You're into RPGs, that's an SPRG, I found D4 impossible to get into but lots of folks tell me D5 is much better, and I want to love that series.

But with MK8 and Lego as Aprils 2 releases, yet it might be a slow Switch month for WiiU owners (an amazing switch month for those that didn't have a WiiU though.)

I watched the trailer for it and am excited for it too (though I haven't played any previous games in the series). Wish Persona 5 was getting released for Switch, but I still have Mirage Sessions #FE to play through, and I can play Persona 5 on my PS4.

I just picked up a Switch yeasterday so....no. I am how ever waiting for Xenoverse 2.

At home, on the go, on the John. So many games could use the Switch treatment. I'm very excited to see what kinda of games we will see in the future.

I wish I could play games enough where I could run out of things to play on a brand new console. Give me your life.

I always thought it was overhyped anyway and it's pretty much lived up to that expectation for me - but then you need to remember that it's basically a mid-level tablet based around a 2015 ARM SOC, with a low resolution display (by today's standards). The games are what will make or break this system and while I personally didn't really enjoy Zelda (I've never liked any of the series), it's obviously a huge draw for fans of the series and a great success for Nintendo and the platform in general. I suspect for me, it will be used most of the time for Mario Kart 8 as I play in an office Mario Kart league, but I'm also eager to see how Skyrim, Mario Odyssey and Splatoon turn out. I am however, disappointed with the lack of modern games on the lineup and this flood of pixelated/retro games on the eStore really doesn't appeal to me at all - I played games in the 8-bit era and it was fine in the 80s, but I see no need for that these days. By all means allow for emulated 8/16/32 bit titles on a Virtual Console, but really as native titles, these just seem lazy.

@mproudfoot
Hrm...I'd argue there are probably more old-school Zelda fans (like myself) who weren't overly enamored with BotW, actually. I think it's mostly "new" people and younger gamers who are head-over-heels for it.

It's an amazing game, absolutely. One of the best I've ever played. But Ocarina is still better. Link to the Past is still the absolute best. In fact, I'd put many of the other Zelda titles in front of BotW in terms of being "good," even something like Minish Cap, actually.

The fact is that BotW isn't really a Zelda game. In my opinion, they went too far. They really took their mantra to heart of "shaking things up" lol

But like I said, still a spectacular game. Just not a Zelda game.
