Hello World,
I am hoping someone can help me out on what to do...
I purchased my Switch on 1/13/19, everything was perfectly fine playing on all 3 different ways.
On Sunday 1/20/19, I was playing Fortnite in the morning, on the kickstand mode, and using the joy cons in the controller when all of a sudden the system went black. No warning as the battery was low or anything. I just assumed the battery died unexpected, and plugged it into the wall, not on the dock. I went about my day, and later came back to play, and now the system will not fully turn on. It will flash a Ninteno logo, then turn off. I have done a bunch of research about hard rebooting, holding down the power button for 30 seconds, etc, and every time, it does the same thing. Also, when I put the Switch into the dock, the dock will flash with a green light and then go black again. Just a note: the controllers seem to be working perfectly fine.
Any help?
Thank you!

@cadbaby I think sending it back to Nintendo would be best. Since you are under warranty, they should be able to fix or replace your Switch.

@GyroZeppeli Ugh I hope, it's just coughing up another $100, after paying $300, then including games in 1 week is a real bummer

@CurryPowderKeg79 I wish, I purchased it from Gamestop, and did not purchase the warranty. So they state that I have to contact Nintendo, and there is nothing that I can do

@cadbaby If you bought that console new on 1/13, you’re within the 30 warranty for the store. I just looked at their In-Store return policy on defective items. Might want to ask them specially about why someone told you different from company policy. Maybe that’ll get you somewhere better, worth a shot.

I will def try to take it back to Gamestop for an exchange, and see what happens.
Thank you for everyone's help and advice. I LOVE the system!

I did contact the customer service phone line which is open late, and they stated they have to give me an exchange. However, I did mention I threw away the box and then he hesitated his answer....so I am going to try tomorrow...and we will see.....

Why not just go in, buy a new Switch, then return the faulty one for a refund?

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

@cadbaby Under Warranty take it back to the place you bought and get it replaced. But you need to have receipt and all packaging to swap out otherwise no Return for Replacement. Also since you bought at GS they most likely will have it on record since Serial numbers must be registered.

The problem @SwitchForce is that he through away the box. By the way @cadbaby did you ever get this resolved?

Throwing away the box - you have the serial that is on the Switch sticker so how one would not know this is peculiar to say.
