Bring it to parties for face-to-face action!

Great, except most party games are way cheaper.

Do the costumes come with the game?

To be fair, this is still better than some of the 60 dollar party games on Wii U.

And we don't know the price yet, do we? I haven't seen it at least. I mean, I don't think it'll be 20 but I could see this as a 40 dollar game. Especially if they want to sell it at launch.

This needs to be included with the system. I don't see this taking off at all as it was easily the most unappealing game that was shown in the presentation.

God first.

Shocked this isn't going to be a pack-in game. Are that many people honestly going to buy this?

These games would work better as a part of a new WarioWare. I don't think there's enough content if all the games last under a minute. Unless, there are more games than what were shown during the presentation and treehouse.

It's its, not it's.

Hmm, Its quite a statement from Nintendo. And the new rumble could be something. But other then that: Meeeeh!

Didn't Alex or whoever from this site wrote about their hands-on with it mention a game where you shake it and have to guess how many marbles are in there? I'm sure there are going to be many more mini-games in this than just the ones they've shown so far.

I forgot to mention that when I first saw the trailer, I thought they were bringing back Wild Gunman. I was excited for a brief moment until they started showing other minigames.

I am also baffled at the lack of it being a pack-in game. Maybe they think it's cool but are too worried about it being considered as a lame introduction to Switch (and by lame I mean regardless of quality, tryhard core gamers will automatically assume it sucks because it's made for casual gamers).

But it should be. It clearly should be.

I bet it was gonna be but then the guy who decided we didn't need Pokemon Snap 2 on Wii U decided to not have it be a pack-in game.

@kkslider5552000 Nintendo probably figured that as a pack-in game they're giving it away for free. Now they're making at least some money from the dozen or so people that will pick this up at launch.

There's actually an interesting interview on Polygon with Reggie about the price point. You guys should check it out. IF (and that's a big if) you believe Reggie, it simply came down to meeting the $299 price point. His story is that anything more (like packing in a game), and they wouldn't have been able to hit that price.

It's all PR talk, of course, and we all know they could have done it if they felt strongly enough about it. But it is an interesting interview.

Hey guys from the looks of the trailer I counted at least 25 mini games in total. And based on the 6 I got to try out at the event it feels like there are going to be many many games in this package

It is a day-one purchase for me as I had an absolute blast

Regardless of my feelings about the whole motion control/'we really want it to be 2007 again' focus of the show, which was basically my worst nightmare come true (I knew that first Switch trailer was too good to be true! Lulling me into a false sense of security like that...) But anyway, if this is like the now obligatory Wii Sports-esque launch title then I think it probably has more of a chance than Nintendo Land did. I suppose that's not really hard, and I don't think it will have one iota of the impact that Wii Sports had, but I guess it's closer to Wii Sports than Nintendo Land was, seeing as NL had little non-gamer appeal; with mini-games that were much more complex than WS and also unlike WS, was drenched in Nintendo franchises/mythology etc. So perhaps 1-2-Switch has that going for it.

The problem I have with this titles is that I can barely see how the Switch itself it adding to the experience. Wii Sports at least offered a cheaper and more convenient way of experiencing a handful of sports. Rather than have to buy the specific sports equipment, find the proper space or field, or meet the physical requirements to normally enjoy these sports, you could enjoy simplified versions that worked well enough for a cheaper price than what would regularly be required to enjoy them in real life. I feel like I could enjoy many of the activities 1-2-Switch is trying to offer without spending the $50 it would cost to play this game, let alone the $300 it costs for the Switch itself. The game outright fails to justify the hardware. The game with the sword and the person clapping it is essentially using the Switch hardware to accomplish everything this game has. The Switch is basically a $300 referee for games we've already played on the playground when we were eight years old.

I also just wanted to note, this game probably cost them next-to-nothing to develop. The only visual assets they had to create are a handful of menu icons and they had to record a handful of short explanatory videos. And I doubt it took an extraordinary effort to make any (except maybe the Balls game) of the mini-games work as intended.
