Well let's see...
1. Historically, Ninty has launched with a major Mario title quite a few times, I'd like to see that again honestly. A Mario that not only impresses as a Mario game and pushes the series forward, but also serves as a proof of concept for the console. Think along the lines of Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, and Super Mario Galaxy. And I would like to see it evolve the series a bit, but not too much, & show off the NX's strengths. I think having the next big Mario game day one would be huge.
2. I'd love to see some more 3rd party exclusives. Those could be exciting.
3. I'd like to see one of Ninty's major IPs have a debut title, along the lines of Zelda, Kirby, Pokemon.
4. I'd want to see another one of Nintedo's big series, but the ones that haven't had nearly enough action recently, Metroid, Star Fox, Kid Icarus, F-Zero.
5. I'd like to see either a new IP game, or a renewal of a more obscure IP. Perhaps a game developed by one of Ninty's many great 2nd party studios.
If NX really is a hybrid console, they really, really need a main series Pokemon game on it if not at launch, then within the first year of its life. A hybrid console with crossplay elements would be the first time they'd likely decide to make a console Pokemon game, and if they can come out early and promote NX as the console that made history with the first ever console Pokemon game, the industry would go into a full on meltdown over that announcement. They could attract a sizeable userbase early on as a result.
how about this
for handheld console
1.mario kart X or xtreme
2.F-zero super X
3.super Mario galaxy X or squared or sonic Xtreme world
4.a 3rd party excusive fighting game(like street fighter)
5.pokemon open world game(like xenoblade) this game shows off the system
Home console
1.a 3rd party game that is on every system
2.a excusive 3rd party game
3.Xenoblade NXtreme
4.Super Mario X
5.a game to shows off the system

Well, it really needs Mario, Zelda, Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Metroid and maybe Donkey Kong Country or F-Zero. And at least one more 'casual' sports type game that gets everyone immediately understanding what the console's appeal is (even if they're not hardcore gamers). Whatever third party games are anticipated that year.
But do you know what it needs more?
No delays between games.
It needs to have all the big games out one after another. Not with three, four, five months between them where nothing happens.
It depends on when it launches, but if it's a handheld, I think it should launch with a Zelda game this time around. Especially if it's a handheld.
1. Legend of Zelda
2. Something Mario, big or small
3. Gimmicky Kirby Game that directly utilizes a new feature of the game
4. Demonstrative party game much like Nintendo Land
5. Splatoon 2, maybe? It depends on whether or not it would make sense for Splatoon to have a sequel so early, if at all.
Mario Kart, SSB, and Metroid can come later, but i feel like Zelda can really kick it off well for the west. Plus, that should guarantee a second Zelda title for it sometime in it's cycle. And I think it's important that Nintendo continues their trend of releasing titles with the purpose of showing what the system can do, like Wii Sports and Nintendo Land. But it's all about timing, and I don't know when to expect the NX.
1) New Mario that utilizes new concept
2) Metroid with an emphasis on Online Multiplayer, not necessarily following Samus
3) Pokemon RPG
4)The most recent CoD
5) Megaman Revival

These are my wishes for launch:
1.Paper Mario 5 (Star Point battle system from PM1 and 2, story deeper than 2 and 3, new villain, large cast of OCs, etc. Basically everything Sucker Star wasn't)
2. Mario Kart 9 (Roster that represents more than just the Super Mario Mario platformers and sports games. Add in some Mario RPG characters like Fawful, WarioWare characters like Mona, or others like Pauline, Tatanga or Foreman Spike. Courses should reference more games as well. Return battle-specific arenas.)
3. Super Smash Bros. 5 (I want Paper Mario as a playable character and a stage that actually represents the whole series, not just two games. Waluigi is another of my wanted characters. And have some trophies from the Mario & Luigi series for once)
4. Super Mario Galaxy 3 (Self explanatory. Maybe instead of Bowser, make Tatanga or the Shroobs the main villains. Would fit the space theme more.)
5. A game starring Waluigi. It's about time the purple man gets his own game, since Mario, Luigi and Wario all have them. Not sure what it would be though.
I lead the way through the great unknown! Never knowing what I'll find...
I'm searching, expecting, exploring, connecting... So no one has to feel they're left behind.

You guys know that most of the launch games aren't that great, right? You might get one or two good ones around release and then most of the good ones don't start coming until about 1-2 years after. So those of you expecting them to blow you away with several of Nintendo's biggest IPs are going to be disappointed.
*Mario
*Tech demo game
*3rd party exclusive
*Whatever newest AAA Multi-platform game is released
*Major Mature rated game
*Other A or B tier Nintendo property

I agree for the most part but the rare few happen, Mario World, 64, Luigi's Mansion, Wii Sports and Twilight Princess
Well yeah, I wasn't saying that we won't get any good games, just that there's only going to be a handful of them.
Most people are naming games assuming it's going to be a home console. It most likely won't be (I think skywake's logic is sound), so none of those games are likely to be on the NX.
If this new machine is a home console what 5 games would you like to see at launch (3rd and 1st party)
1. Mario Galaxy 3
2. FIFA 17
3. Zelda or Metroid
4. COD
5. Bayonetta 3
1. Bayonetta 3
2. The best selling third-party at that time (GTA/COD idk)
3. Metroid Prime 4
4. Some mario game
5. A remaster of a famous game.
I'm a Danish gamer, but I mostly play on Nintendo hardware. I love gaming local co-op, and playing Mario Kart with my cousin (she's owning me btw!)
My favourite game franchises are Super Smash Bros. & Sly Cooper.
Paper Mario NX
Super Mario NX (Super Mario 3D World 2 or Super Mario Galaxy 4, assuming SMG 3 was released on Wii U)
Legend of Zelda NX
Kirby NX
Metroid NX (Metroid Prime 5, assuming MP4 was released on Wii U)
With Zelda delayed I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to remaster Zelda U for NX now.
I don't know how I would feel about getting a remake of a zelda game a year or two after its release. I think they should remake Twilight Princess or possibly some of the portable Zeldas packaged together
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

-Yeah, Timesplitters would be cool, but unlikely .
-They NEED Mario-Something. You can't have a new Nintendo system without Mario.
-Animal Crossing would be genius, actually. The adoption rate for the 3DS was surprisingly high. Imagine having cross-content between smart phones and consoles. That could work REALLY well for Nintendo.
