If this new machine is a home console what 5 games would you like to see at launch (3rd and 1st party)
1. Mario Galaxy 3
2. FIFA 17
3. Zelda or Metroid
4. COD
5. Bayonetta 3
I dont think its to early. Look what happened with the WII U line up (or lack of it) have a voice, tell people what games you want to see as a Nintendo customer !
It ain't early. Games aren't developed in a couple of months you know.
I like that line up. I don't think we'll see a zelda and a mario in a similar timeframe though. A new mario that is hugely awesome like galaxy would work wonders. A third party like call of duty too, I'd buy it.
But whatever it is, middleware support, developers on nda's building games, game concepts being developed and even the actual building needs to happen now.
So yep. I'm thinking something like devil's third, donkey kong or metroid, a mario game. But just like the wiiU was awesome to me from day one, I'm just thinking: surprise me
Depends on the longer term goals of the company, but if they want to hit established mainstream audience in the face with a bat they really need an outstanding FPS, an outstanding racer and an outstanding sports game.
None of these have to be existing franchises. In fact, exclusive new IP would be better if the hype comes with them and the games deliver on that hype, a la first Halo on Xbox.
Add to those three some core Nintendo IP, a new Mario series being the obvious choice, brand-wise.
Perhaps as good a move as any would be to try and time the launch with a new GTA, or another killer open-world game (I'm personally over GTA I think, not tried V yet but not expecting to bother until it's dirt cheap on Steam).
My personal preference would be for one new IP that's truly excellent. Consoles are defined very much by any new iconic IP that launched with the system.
1) A Sports game. Even a Mario one.
2) New IP. Can't have a new platform without something new to show it off.
3) A new Spin-off or "resurrection" of existing IP.
4) A game from a 3rd Party
5) A Major IP, such as Mario. Even a remake will do here.
But I sure as hell hope they launch with more than just 5 games...
Nobody knows if the NX is going to be a home console, handheld, or the "Fusion". If it's a handheld or the "Fusion" then 7th Generation Pokemon would be on my list.

I would like...
1. A new title that's built specifically for the NX (whatever it may be).
2. The latest AAA game that'll also be on the PS4/XBO (or PS5/XB2(?))
3. Mario. A 3D Mario to be precise, but a solid 2D Mario wouldn't hurt.
4. Another new title made just for the NX.
5. A "Wii Sports/Nintendo Land"-esque pack-in title.
Personally, I thought the Wii U's launch lineup was amazing, but I couldn't afford to buy everything.
However, no matter what the launch lineup would be, the rest of the gaming world (and quite a few people here) will more than likely ignore it because it'll have the Nintendo name attached to it and guys think they'll be seen as less of a man playing anything that has color or lacks guns.
I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite
If they launch with a 3d mario, or mario kart, they will have my support. Or metroid. 😊

1. F-Zero GTX"Zer0"XRV: The Falcon'd Captaincy "XZ90-X"
2. Zack & Wiki 2: The Quest for a New Publisher
3. Need for Speed: Most Rehashed
4. Dr. Kawashima's NX Sports Party
5. Mario & Sonic at Titchendale's Teatime Tiddlywinks Tournament
Though if it's not a portable then look up my E3 wishlist in the Wii U sub-forum. Because literally nothing would change in terms of what games they could make for the thing. The difference between what they can do on the Wii U and what is being done on the highest end hardware ATM is mostly eye candy and I kinda doubt that it will change much. Eye candy is nice but, it's not a new sort of game.
If it was a portable, and I'm fairly confident it would be, then my answer is different. I'd like to see them push the envelope in terms of what we expect out of a portable game. I'd like to see them put a second circle pad on it and revisit Kid Icarus. I'd like to see them attempt a portable version of Metroid Prime. I'd like to see some of the indie games we're getting used to on the Wii U trickle down to a portable console. I'd like to see Wii and Gamecube ports that are visually better than the originals. There are a lot of things I want out of a portable that I know the 3DS can't do.

"Don't stir the pot" is a nice way of saying "they're too dumb to reason with"
I genuinely believe that it will be a cross platform console, a hybrid if you like, that allows you to use it as a console in the home and on the go. I think that it will have a gamepad - esque contollere, although slim lined, that will act as a portable console.
This said, the launch titles should truly show case the cross play capabilities.
So, without further ado:
1. New Super Mario Bros X - Imagine, sitting at home, playing a few levels. Save, take controller, get on bus, carry on!
2. AAA title such as FIFA or COD, with same cross play support
3. A remake of a classic. Maybe Super Mario 64 as I think we will see galaxy in this generation.
4. An entry level Nintendo game such as Wii sports or Nintendo land that makes really clever uses of cross play and demonstrates it to the masses.
5. Depending on the success of Splatoon, a sequel ready for day 1. Again, cross play ready!

Just some thoughts...
There's no way we are seeing another 3d mario on Wii U. Miyamoto himself said that he wanted to have a game like that ready for the next console. Mario 3d world is all we get, I'm sorry to say. Which, looks good for the NX launch at least.
