Pretty sure this could go in one of the already-existing NX threads.

There is nothing here...except for the stuff I just typed...

@NintendoFan64 the nazi attitude of this place.

@WebHead What? I mean, I don't really see why this needs it's own thread when we already have countless other threads discussing the NX. I mean, would you prefer having a thread for every rumor, every guess, or every time that somebody in the industry says something about it? That just seems a bit cluttered, as well as pointless when you realize that people will most likely just move on from the topic after a day at the longest. So really, it seems better to just bring this up in one of the already-existing NX threads.

But making a post about it is a........silly thing to do. You don't like the topic, you think it should be in another thread. Fine, do you REALLY need to make a post informing everyone about that?

And Webhead clearly don't really why that kind of post needs to be made, we already have mods who will lock threads or move posts if one is not appropriate. It just seems a bit cluttered and pointless when you realize all it does is annoy people and potentially embarress (not me, but it could others) the person who made the post in the first place. So really, isn't it better to just ignore the thread and post in silence?

@Canadian_Ronin I find sometimes it helps the mods notice when a incorrect or unneeded thread is created. I have seen threads not be shut down until they are on page two because it takes that long for the mods to find it and realize it isn't needed.

However, I actually think this thread is fine as it focuses on what the CEO of Ubisoft said instead of yet another "What is the NX?" Thread. This seems fine to me.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

You can always use the Report button if you see something. The mods did improve the report system recently. Anyway enough mini-modding.

I'm not sure this really means much, Ubisoft might just throw in a Just Dance game or something, but they're probably not going to port stuff like Assassin's Creed to NX until it shows it can be successful.

@Bolt_Strike plus to be fair this was during their earnings call. So of course he gonna talk negatively. They'll bring just dance, but everything else depends on how nx sells.

And also, the mods should be checking daily regardless.

Ubisoft did support the WiiU early on. I don't think its a publisher that will just "throw nintendo a bone" or something.

Canadian_Ronin

WebHead

@Canadian_Ronin they did, wii u didn't catch on and userbase didn't buy their games therefore no support after.

They deserved better for zombi u. However, assassins creed 3 was the most inferior version. The same went for other multi platform games, also lacking dlc and such.

Ubisoft can be very successful on nx if they give it great versions and supported versions of whatever they have.

@erv yes but said userbase also has to take the initiative and show that they want these games on their system by buying such. If you want third party buy it.

You're right. It helps if you don't get the "unsurprisingly, the worst version with no support is on nintendo's system" comparisons though.

I still enjoyed ubisofts black flag on wii U a lot though. And I love the splinter cell game on it. Shame about the lack of an online userbase. So if the nx moves units and has plenty of that stuff with it, any downside I had on wii U will be mitigated.

Octane

@WebHead I want good games, therefore I only buy good games. Not going to buy rushed or inferior ports in order to please other developers.

Octane

WebHead

@Octane even with the "good" third party games people barely bought them. Because "they were late, etc". The Nintendo fanbase is very, very picky.

Octane

@WebHead That's a pretty good reason. Why buy a game on the Wii U when it's been out on other platoforms for a while and probably at a reduced price? It's not being picky, the Wii U got the short end of the stick every time. It's partly Nintendo's fault though.

Octane

WebHead

@Octane well you expect devs to delay their games for an unproven, low selling platform. No offense, but the Nintendo fanbase needs to not be so picky and difficult. Thou are not entitled to anything. That said I do think Nintendo needs to have a port parity clause.

So... how is Just Dance going to work on this rumored portable console?

FragRed

@DefHalan I assume the controllers will require to be detached from the system itself and used much like Wii remotes.

I will say I am surprised Ubisoft didn't announce Just Sing for the Wii U and NX since I would have thought this would be their apparent target market.
