Topic: Should Nintendo introduce a new design language?

Currently, the look of Nintendo's software products and UI's have an Apple 2007-esque glossy look. But do you think it should be retired with the NX? I feel Nintendo should adopt a new look using a flat, pastel-color aesthetic similar to Google's Material Design or Microsoft's Metro.

Yes but I'd be surprised if it changed beyond the basics of what we have now. I mean they could be up to date, but it'll probably be laid out in the same way, pressing a button in the rows of apps/tv screen things, and picking from rainbow options.

I have yet to see a good flat design. Especially metro was bad in this regard, no hints whatsoever as to what you could do. Hiding important functions such as menus behind hotspots (on pc) or swiping from an edge is simply not a good way to do things.
