Topic: NX 1st 2 confirmed games are 3rd Party Games... YEAH!!!

I'm not entirely sure what's the news about Dragon Quest XI being on NX.
Dragon Quest X was on Wii as well as on WiiU. Only they have never made it to the west.
It's not exactly "shocking 3rd party support".
Actually, it's the most predictable 3rd party game a Nintendo console could get, so I won't read much into it.

I'm not a Nintendo hater. I'm a rational thinker who doesn't let emotions cloud my opinions.

This game potentially being playable on the NX (in what form that is, we don't know) is not an indication that third parties will be supporting the NX more than they do the Wii U. Reasonable people won't read into this 'news' that much, nor get their hopes up.

Two quote someone from twitter.... What we’ve learned today is that the NX either a handheld or console, with power anywhere from a SNES to PS4 with one or more screens.

Hopefully Dragon Quest IX on NX is more closer to the PS4 version. It wouldnt really make sense to me if the NX version is just a upscaled 3DS version. And hopefully if the NX versions sell well... More 3rd party support from Square Enix will come.

@Blast: Ha, no problem. I find it exciting, too. People want news on the NX - well, this is news, even if it is an unintentional leak. And it shows some degree of early third-party interest in the console. I don't care whether it's a port of the 3DS version or a bloody GameBoy cart - it's still a well-known franchise that will reportedly be showing up on Nintendo's next console, and I don't see anything wrong with getting excited about that.

Wow so many negative comments even though we dont even know what the specs are yet. I think this is awesome because if the NX does come out in 2016 doesnt that mean big developers like SE might have already seen an almost done Version of the NX or have a dev kit? I wont be picking up a NX until 1 year after the system launch because I am not having a wii U type situation again but this could shine hope for nintendo.

Well Square has supported Nintendo consoles in Japan amazingly this generation. Sadly, not much of that support has come overseas. We still have like no Wii U games from them, VC or otherwise. Unless you count Deus Ex

I'm still going to crack up if this NX ends up being an iphone or tablet or something. lol

If this is true, this is really cool. This is something to be excited for, in my opinion.

I wouldn't give my hopes up yet, as it could be cancelled for the NX or even just be released over seas. Since nobody knows about the NX yet or what is being developed for it, it's hard to get real excited about it...and there is a little 3rd party support of the Wii U, but with a strong fanbase on the PS4, the NX version probably won't sell too well, leaving another 3rd party developer unsatisfied....meaning, that this could lead to another Wii U situation...plus, it also has to be looked at the release date. If it's released the same day as the PS4 version, then it could work...if it's released after...another Wii U situation. Don't get me wrong, I really hope the NX does well and brings nintendo back into the gaming scene, but only time will tell. Other than that, it's nice to see that 2 games were announced for it...but it's still a ways away before any mention of the system.

Hopefully the game will sell enough to show SE that the NX will be profitable.
