Most current games are still being released on the Xbox 360, which has 512 MB. I think they can manage quite a bit with 8 GB.
Yea...though most higher-end gaming rigs pretty much always have 16 gigs RAM, 8 gigs is still fairly standard, even for AAA PC releases these days. Valve's VR specs (are they Oculus? I can never remember, but whatever) were released the other day, and it, too, only needs 8 gigs. So...8 gigs, not that far-fetched. Pretty "fetched," actually.
The release list mentions Metroid yet we already know that NOBODY is working on Metroid right now and certainly not for a while. Both Zelda teams are working on games so thats probably a lie. The NX is a console so that leaves smartphones and tablets out of the picture. And to back up my Metroid point we know that NO metroid game is coming to the wii u at all meaning that wii u gamepad support cannot happen. So yes fake
The fact you are reading this proves you are able to have an attention span longer than me. Well done sir or madam!

Actually, not at all. You can't simply compare PC's to consoles, as even the best PC versions of games that also exist on consoles tend to require stronger hardware to achieve the same quality level as the console version on PC. Also, most AAA games are pretty wasteful on their RAM usage, so they're bad indicators for RAM requirements, anyway. Case in point: Assassin's Creed. Up to AC4, each one of the titles was released on consoles that never even passed the 1GB RAM mark, yet the PC ports need 1-2GB, for the most part, while ACU goes well beyond that (I think it was 2-4GB on PC).
"Proper account- and reward system"
lol, just lol.
Yeah, that and starting out with Japanese slides and ending with English slides containing crap like that and appearing to be a Wii U in a vertical stand and having specs that don't look that different. This is pretty much what the NX won't be.
And although GiB is a unit, it's not universally agreed or used. In fact I think the only place I've ever seen anyone seriously use it and make the distinction between Gibibytes and Gigabytes was in a Linux training video and I wasn't convinced there's any need for this at all. 8 bits=1 byte and 1024 bytes = 1024 KB and 1024MB=1GB. Marketing people have messed stuff up and consumers don't get that files systems have overheads so you'll never get a 500GB disk with 500GB usable out of the box. Don't go making up new terms to try to compensate, just deal with reality and mis-use of unit prefixes.

My point was that it is not a typo. Nothing more, nothing less.
Also, I haven't made up a new term, It is an acknowledge standard set by IEC. It is also quite common in academia nowadays, where it might be important to be correct. Just because you don't have a need to distinguish between the 2 doesn't mean others can just let it slip.
Uhm...from what I can tell, you just typed all of that to basically agree with me? The bottom line is: 8GB for a new console would be perfectly fine. End of story.
It's fake, but the renders are done well.
Reasons it's fake:
1. We know there is no proper Metroid in development.
2. PR wouldn't use terms like "proper." That's a term fans use to communicate dissatisfaction.
3. Professional PR would not remind people of the bad launch of the WiiU by promising a "successful launch."
4. Nothing innovative shown in the video. We already have 'smart glass' on current and previous gen hardware.
5. The word "powerful" does not belong in the same pitch as 8GB and 2017. If you're launching that late then it better be HBM if it's 8GB.
6. 2017 is what fanboys want to happen.
7. WiiU software compatibility would mean PPC which is not going to happen again.
8. All WiiU software would have to be patched to work on phones/tablets (creating on-screen buttons and sticks).
9. Why on Earth would you keep the face buttons in the secondary position after all of the complaints about that layout on WiiU?
10. No Pokken at launch? Fake confirmed.

Eehh we actually don't know that. All we know is that a console Metroid Prime is not in development, but we don't know what is going on with the Metroid franchise as a whole.
Not that I'm trying to give this obvious fake any credibility, but I'm just saying.
The only thing that seems likely is the Pro Controller redesign with proper triggers and an NFC reader. I could see that happening. All they have to do is also add in a headset jack and I'd totally go out and buy one.
Also, I hope Nintendo does more to distinguish the NX, physically, from the Wii and Wii U. Just change the shape of the console somehow. Make it different from the Wii U and Wii.
