I like your list until I read Sonic. That's a typo right? You meant another game didn't you?

Why would it be? We need more Sonic Boom on the NX. Maybe that will be one of the Wii U titles being ported. Sonic Boom NX!!!

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

If it's a GOOD Sonic game, then yes. I'd love something Unleashed/Generations style.

Generally speaking, I wouldn't buy any console over another SOLELY for 3rd party games until the console in question is on its way out e.g. I bought a used PS3 last year cos I've always wanted to try Red Dead Redemption, The Last of Us, and the Uncharted series, but clearly none of them made a PS3 irresistible to me earlier on in the gen.

I think the only thing that I might consider making an exception for nowadays would be if NX got an exclusive Star Wars game that was 9+/10 good (i.e. the latest Battlefront is too one dimensional without a single player campaign).

The reason I ever got into consoles in the first place was to play Rogue Squadron 2.

So yeah, a brilliant Star Wars game would do it. The only other game to tempt me at launch would be a Mario Kart that somehow surpassed the beauty of MK8.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.

@GrailUK:

I can honestly say that a couple of the earlier Monkey Ball games on Gamecube still rank in the Top 10 of the funnest times I have ever had in multiplayer gaming!

@Smoo:

Roller Coaster Tycoon was a blast. And yes, Wii U would've been perfect for that genre.

I am just wondering, since it's one of my favorite series yet no one else seems to care for or mention it around here, have the people here never played the Suikoden games, played them and disliked them, or played them and stand somewhere in the middle on them?

@LetsGoRetro, I've only played Suikoden Tierkreis (DS), and while I really did like it, on it's own I can't really say if it's indicative of if I'd like the series as a whole.

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

@NewAdvent Well, Capcom say they expect to sell 2 million copies of an unannounced Monster Hunter game (not Monster Hunter Stories either!!). I am praying to any god that will listen for it to be Monster Hunter NX.

Well, Monster Hunter seems to be one of the few things Capcoms seems to really be doing right, and it alone has done wonders for stabilizng the company.

THat being said, part of what really makes MH work so well, is the low production cost to content delivered ratio.... A large part of which has a lot to do with the games being a handheld focus now. Making a visually top rate 3ds monster hunter, is much cheaper than making a visually top rate NX title, which means of those 2 million sales revenue, they will get to keep much more of it as profit as a 3ds game, than as a main console game.

BUT WAIT, it's not all negative.

But man, the thought of a full blown console MH experience really is somrthing isn't it? Well, if developing for NX console and NX handheld is as similar as signs are pointing too.... That would make huge strides towards having a console MH be viable.

@Indy83 It could just be a port of Generations to the NX. Low budget, large profits. 2 million copies might be a tad bit optimistic for an HD port, but this is Capcom we're talking about. Then again, it could be a portable NX title, if that turns out to be a thing. I'd kill for a Monster Hunter title that takes full advantage of home console hardware, but I don't think we'll be seeing that any time soon. It's much more profitable to develop those titles for portable devices, as you mention, and the Japanese audience prefers to play this series on the go.

It is a darn shame that Overwatch is skipping Nintendo systems. Much like Splatoon, I think it is a shooter that fits with Nintendo's approach and visual style. But maybe the NX will get it later, won't be a big pusher for the system but it would be a good thing to have

@DefHalan It's caught my eye too, and I thought the same. The character design of that game is fantastic. I'm glad to see Blizzard thinking outside of the FPS box too.

Overwatch is definitely a huge game that Nintendo should have had on one of their platforms. It's a perfect fit. I feel a similar way about a few other random releases. No Man's Sky, Cup Head, Tomb Raider, Kindgom Hearts, Rocket League. Nintendo shouldn't be missing out on games like that.

That said I'll repeat what I said on the first page. I wouldn't be buying the NX solely for these games. I'd be buying the NX for its exclusives which are likely to be first party Nintendo games. They just need to get third parties on board so they can pad-out their library. Especially if that includes "Nintendo-like" games that aren't made by Nintendo.

I will most likely get the NX for the new Zelda title. I think that game alone will be worth a Nintendo system. I know everyone will probably say why only one game? There will definately be others that get released over time. I currently own a new 3ds xl. While its a fantastic handheld, I really miss the home console experience. (Please dont shoot me) I skipped out on the Wii U.

Its dangerous to go alone take this.

To me, always monster hunter, and I just thought of overwatch and kingdoms of amalur. I'd like more of that stuff...

Klonoa.

Also, again...ChoroQ HG 5. Think of the Amiibo's!! XD

But seriously ChoroQ but like HG 3 & 4 i.e. with gearboxes & shifting, and not kart-racer weapons like Road Trip Arcade Edition, or motion control...just ChoroQ HG 5.

Also, ChoroQ HG 3 & 4 HD, re-skins with the cell-shading from ChoroQ Works.
