Since Nintendo going mobile, they're going to have put their games on the well known mobile stores. App store and Google play
But which store will they choose? It would probably be the App Store considering there's emulators on Google Play.

Toriel left for a while, so Freaky Fred took over her place!
Not changing this part of the signature until Nintendo announces Super Mario Sunshine 2.

I think Nintendo said that all their mobile products will be new, they will not be porting old games to mobile platforms.
As for the stores, I think both of those biggest app stores will be supported. I also hope the games find their ways to Aptoide Store or Yandex, so I can download them for my Jolla.

Dunno how I feel.

I think they are targeting both iOS and Android

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Obviously both.
The title of this thread should be changed to "What are the chances of the mobile Nintendo games being on Amazon Appstore or Windows Store?"
I doubt Nintendo will put their games on either shop. Especially the latter, because obvious reasons. It'll be nice to see Nintendo put their mobile software on Amazon Appstore (Underground, even ), though... since I'm a Fire user.

Most likely both, however I can see at least one of them being an iOS timed exclusive.

Why wouldn't it be both?

Well this is the mobile market share:
Android: 83%
iOS: 14%
Windows: 3%
Other: <1%

So it'd be stupid not to have it on Android. Naturally they should also put their mobile stuff on iOS purely because those users tend to be more willing to pay for software. Also Apple users are far more likely to have a device that's capable of playing games. Development for iOS also tends to be a bit easier because there's more certainty in what the specs of the device are. I'd be surprised if we don't see them on both....

Things skip Android all the time for iOS or give iOS the better version, I don't think just throwing statistics out there is really going to seal any deal. But if not both then they'd be sure kicking themselves in the face, and if not both then where else? In that <1% market? They'd really get slammed hard if ones like Rockstar, Ubisoft and Bethesda can do their apps in multiple stores but they can't.
