I don't think they'd take away anything you've got up til now. The reason the system works is because they'll be consistently pushing out new tracks, and new characters that are proficient on those tracks. The rates of proficiency are going to change as the the tours come. Meaning, you're going to need a greater spread of characters to be scoring just as well as the last tour.
As far as leveling goes, it also doesn't make sense. unless the standard challenges would change with each tour, then it'd make more sense. But for now, we already have challenges for the tour for a limited time, so yeah.
it gets hard to do anything when it takes 50 150cc 1st place finishes to make it to the next level

So I really have no interest in playing this but my God is it popular with my kids and their friends. There's about 15 kids that live on our street and they always play together games/sports etc. When they got off the bus yesterday almost all of them were talking about it staring down at their phones playing. Was crazy to see. Guess they've got another hit on their hands!
You can't beat simple, addictive gameplay. Mario Kart has the added benefit of being well known and extremely approachable which is why it is doing so well right now. couple months down the line, we'll see who is still hanging around.

So the weekly ranking is done and got 20 rubies?, what did you guys get?, well, lil o'l mii got duplicates of baby characters and basic kart stuff with no sight of Dry Bowser coming any time soon.
Well thankfully I'm not paying to get the same results
Downloaded the other day and wow! Im having way more fun than I have any right to lol
This is probably my most played mobile game ever. I’ve really got the hang of the controls. The rewards have been worth it, so far. Saved up for a 10 pull and got Toad and Peachette with some rare karts.
I got the 20 rubies and didn't really get much either, but I managed to scrounge enough for Bowser in the shop. I also found out the Gold subscription has a 2 week free trial, so I took advantage of that and managed to get another 45. Was more successful with that and got Mario and DK. Current collection:
@Bolt_Strike be advised that you manually have to cancel gold subscription before the free trial ends
i dont get why you guys spend your rubies on loot boxes ehm i mean pipes. it is way more efficient to use gold rush and buy new characters in the shop with gold. you can easily get over 4000 coins with one x10 gold rush, which is 25 rubies i believe
Anyone knows what level bonus is that you get for upgrading karts, gliders and drivers?
I mean the one that’s stated to be x1 when you reach level 2, x2 for level 3, x3 for level 4, x4 for level 5 and x5 for level 6?
At first I thought it was a bonus multiplier but than it wouldn’t make sense to give a x1 indicator at level 2 but no indicator at all at level 1. Could it be every level you go up you get an extra frenzy, bonus time and 2x multiplier stage for those karts, drivers and gliders?
@1UP_MARIO
The only problem is that the rare characters cost 12000 coins, the rare karts cost 10000. While duplicates are disappointing, I'd rather level them up that way rather than spending the coin. unless you're really good at unlocking a doing challenges, its hard to get a lot of coins.

Do you not get the high end characters at the shop until Lv. 12? Because I'm Lv. 10 now and I haven't seen any of them. Most of the characters I'm missing are the high end ones, so the Shop does me no good at this point until I start seeing them.
For reference, I'm just missing Baby Mario, Dry Bowser, Peachette, Musician Mario, and Pauline.
Wow. Ironically it is very hard to lose at this game. I'm trying to do the challenge for using Lightning 3 times, but it's so hard to stay in 8th place in this game. You can't stop to let other racers pass in this game, you can only steer in the wrong directions, you have to use your items when you pass an item box, and when you do, you usually end up passing multiple racers. I'm pretty much just botching the start and hoping I get a Lightning.
Meanwhile in 150cc for me, the rubber banding is real, it feels at times that enemies that get hit can recover very quickly. I even took a picture of me doing well (besides getting hit like twice), and well....
This happens more then it should for me, like you can't catch a breather, meanwhile 150cc in 8 is pretty relaxing for me.
In other news, saved up enough rubies for the 10 shots, didn't get anything too special with that, but I had 3 more shots left. I GOT THE CHARACTER I WANTED THE MOST, Dry bowser!...now Dry Bowser is gonna be a golden pass reward, but oh well, mine will be level 2 soon.
My good luck from the first few pulls has pretty much evaporated, the only new driver I got after the update this week was Iggy. Other than that, I've just been getting duplicates. Trying to push for Dry Bowser in the Tour Gifts before the free trial on my Gold Pass expires next week so I'll at least have that much, still 58 Grand Stars short. I should be able to make it, but it'll be awfully close.
