I know this sounds kind of crazy, and I know this sounds kind of doom and gloom for Big N, but it's possible right? I found this post on Google plus, https://plus.google.com/+IGN/posts/LDB5qCGfCuk . It says that Disney wants Micky to meet Mario. Now This could just mean they meet once. But if Disney wants to work with Mario in the long run they have 2 options: Work with Nintendo, or BUY Nintendo. Nintendo hasn't done very well at E3, and their stocks have dropped significantly. And we all know, that Disney loves buying things, so do you think Disney has their sights on The Big N, or this is just crazy and nothing to be concerned with?
Why would it be doom and gloom for Nintendo? They've completely turned the Marvel brand around, and look like they're making Star Wars good again. Honestly, Nintendo aren't pleasing most of it's own longterm fans anymore, I actually think something like this might help. On their current course Nintendo are going to keep more and more casual in order to try and get that DS/Wii market back. More mobile, more party games etc. They wouldn't clear out the current heads and put their own people in there, but instead look at what they need, and add try and provide it.

No, Marvel was going good on their own and then Disney bought them (even though their animation side gone backwards since the take over) and the new Star Wars hasn't even been seen yet.
I think Nintendo would be a good fit within Disney (Nintendo IPs being made into Disney films and Nintendo's ethos/experience running the games arm of Disney), but I don't see it happening. I think Nintendo has more to gain than Disney from the transaction, I could see them buying a toy company like Mattel to gain ownership of toy lines like Masters of the Universe as more likely.
Rimmer: "Look, I think we've all got something to bring to this conversation, but I think that from now on the thing you should bring is silence."
Homer: "Oh people can come up with statistics to prove anything Kent. Forfty percent of all people know that."
yes Disney is buying Nintendo so they can make Kingdom hearts a Nintendo exclusive with Mario, the Avengers and Darth Vader on it and Sora will have a mushroom+vibranium lightsaber Keyblade, Luigi will have it own Pixar animation that will top even toy story, Metroid federation force will be cancelled and become an attraction in various of Disney's theme parks and Pokémon will feature Youngster Joe Mickey Mouse using a team full of Ratattas as the league champion.
not to mention what happens to Zelda, or should I say the Disney Princess of hyrule in a brand new musical movie.
goodbyes are a sad part of life but for every end there's a new beggining so one must never stop looking forward to the next dawn

Hopefully, that'll never happen. Nowadays, Disney is the EA of movie/TV entertainment: producing the same crap every year, just with slightly different names, but millions of people buy it because it's Disney, not because it's good. If they managed to buy Nintendo, it would be a fate even worse than death.

Walt Disney Animation Studios is currently going through its second renaissance. The Princess & The Frog, Tangled, Winnie the Pooh, Wreck-It Ralph, Frozen, and Big Hero 6 is as diverse of a 2009 onward line-up as any other studio has had, and all of those are high quality films.
Pixar just released one of their best films in their entire 20 year history this weekend. In fact, since Disney bought them in 2009, they produced Up, Toy Story 3, and Inside Out. 2 of those are Academy Award nominees for Best Picture (of only 3 animated films in history), and by this time next year, all three of them could be.
Recent Marvel has been mostly great too. Captain America: The Winter Soldier came out only a year ago and proved that Disney is willing to produce more mature, serious comic book movies. Daredevil aired last month and is among the best live action comic book series ever produced.
And Episode VII would have to try very hard to not be the best Star Wars film in over 30 years.
Disney doesn't turn all of their movies into CoD clones with microtransactions and ten bazillion over-priced expansions. Disney has made cruddy/questionable choices here and there, but they still can make good movies. Nintendo is basically the Disney of video games. Both sides can make awesome movies/games.
