Topic: SOPA is at it again

SOPA from 2012's internet censorship bill is back, but now attacking the gaming community! Since the news of this broke out the Gaming and internet community is outraged and trying to fight back against the bill. Video game fan fiction, art, gaming websites, videowalkthoughs, guides, and anything that revolves around the gaming community is going to be illegal and the creators will become felonies. Youtube video game videos will soon become a felony Nintendolife and IGN might get shut down because of SOPA's ignorance

Are you serious? Oh man. Stupid overly conservative bills that do nobody any good whatsoever. What idiots propose those? I bet this is a cover excuse to try & do the closest thing to banning video games. This doesn't benefit devs & protect them from piracy: this hurt their fans.

I had about three paragraphs written in this comment box about what I think of this arising again. Naming some pros and cons of the bill, trying to look at it from all sides. I read through it and even I the writer could tell most of it was BS. Not a chance in hell I could defend this even if it is trying to protect company property;

You should link the petition in your signature. Threads to advertise petitions aren't allowed, and if it was in your signature more people would see it. (Though personally there is nothing convincing me that what you're saying is true anyways)

Also I don't mean to rain on your parade here, but all that petition is for is to get a response from the white house, not shut the bill down...

Actually this sounds like a great idea... Get rid of internet gaming sites because they aren't good for anything except breeding grounds for people that don't even play games but enjoy whining about them, also these sites only survive by posting doom and gloom articles for no reason other than to generate hits

I know. Do people ever vote for anyone smart anymore? How did people vote people in who suggested this heaping load of crap? SOPA 2013 sounds like an attempt to kill interest in video games without banning games as an excuse that they didn't ban games. This in pretty much no way protects any game dev's IP. Sounds like a bunch of crap made up by a few anti-this/that&everything politicians that don't give a crap about thinking hard & second-guessing. Just a bunch of prejudiced politicians who think games are evil because they're unfamiliar w/ them & have no intentions of actually reading about some besides a few violent ones. Controlled by their fear of the unknown, who blame games for all terrorist acts instead of actually finding out what motivated the terrorists (lack of morals from lack of supervision / mental health issues).

Great. Now we can have a whole new round of whiny internet peoples overreacting to things that they don't fully understand nor bother to fully educate themselves about.
