Hi guys. I received a letter from Future Publishing and ONM this morning, apparently the next issue of ONM (on sale 14th October) will also be the last I know that print media as a whole is a dying medium but as an older gamer, it's still always sad to me to see a magazine that I've read for many years (since it's former incarnation as Nintendo Magaine System) come to an end.

All existing subs are now going to be transferred to the multiformat Gamesmaster magazine instead starting with the 6th November issue, unless obviously you cancel in the meantime.

I'll give Gamesmaster a chance going forward (I've never really bothered with it before and I do own other formats) but I'm still probably going to feel a twinge of sadness every time I look at the newstands, see the other single format mags for Xbox and Playstation and think about the good old days when ONM used to stand shoulder to shoulder with them.

It is a problem.

What I want is basically people with no ties to the publishers reviewing the first version that comes out worldwide. (By someone who can read Japanese if the game requires it).

NGamer was ok but they didn't care at all about imports.

News has been quite at points but it is still sad to see it go, at least they all kept their jobs (even if it is writing for OXM).

The good thing to come out of this is that Nintendo is now focusing on Nintendo Directs!

I will update this when Half Life 3 arrives. [Started 17/11/2015]

I could definitely see that ONM was going to eventually stop and this was mostly because everyone was starting to leave and they were being replaced by Nintendo characters rather than real people. I thoroughly enjoyed the magazines, though, and I hope ONM R.I.P.
