For those that were wondering, there are no updates for Japan this week (September 22-23, 2009) because of the Citizen's holiday. We hope to get some download updates for next week and what games will be scheduled to come out in the month of October, including Japan's 500th Virtual Console game. We know Bahamut Lagoon for VC (Super Famicom/SNES) will be released for September 29, 2009. Stay tuned.

AWWWWW!! Terrible news, man Japan is always getting screwed when it comes to updates.......Oh...Wait. Thats us.

Anyways, what's up with these guys not getting games on holidays (certain ones, at least)? Even though they get spoiled, it still seems kind of screwed up. They should give them something. I know it would suck to find out that we wouldn't be getting an update. (Yeah, I'm sure most people here don't care, considering how Japan usually gets treated compared to the rest of us.)

Yeah, as someone wrote at TripAdvisor: 'This is due to a new law passed in 2007, which makes any working day caught betweek 2 public holidays an one-off public holiday for that year. Sounds great, but actually, due to the structure of Japanese public holidays, this can only happen between the Respect for the Aged Day and the Autumnal Equinox public holidays. This will happen again in 2015, then in 2026, 2032 and 2037.'

Next break time for the Japanese VC will be in the week of December 29.
