Over the next months, Sega of America will be focusing on the restructure and relocation to southern California, and we have decided to not attend E3 with our own booth this year," the spokesperson said.
With the majority of our bigger titles launching later in 2015/2016, particularly those from our AAA studios Relic Entertainment (Company of Heroes), Sports Interactive (Football Manager), and Creative Assembly (Total War), we are concentrating our efforts for some of these major announcements after our relocation. Instead, we will be collaborating with our various business partners for this year's E3 show.
It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
Um....didn't I just say the tile as No SEGA booth for E3? You know Like their own booth like how they used to have?
But if you're talking about my comment, I was just being naive about SEGA.
I don't think naïve is the right word. Naïve suggest being gullible with simplicity as in you're told something unrealistic and believe it regardless but there is no SEGA is going under news or anything to suggest that from the article. Based on your recent threads this seems it's more towards sensationalism/propaganda of an agenda against SEGA's current state and stretching a loose bit of info into something else.
Sega is not in bankruptcy. First, they are a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of a Japanese company, and the parent is not in bankruptcy. Declaring bankruptcy would not save the subsidiary from creditors who could just go after the parent. Second, I have exchanged a few PMs on Nintendo Forums with a person who is a Sega of America insider, and he has been assured by the higher ups that after the re-shuffling things are going back to "normal." He is a department head (can't say which department for obvious reasons), so I take his info to be reliable. I personally feel that if Sega survives this ongoing industry transition to downloadable/digital games, they will be in the clear, especially with Nintendo going the mobile route next generation too.
