Topic: New Nintendo IP Pandora's Tower

It seems that a new RPG game is being developed by Monolith Soft for the Wii. It's called Pandora's Tower.

That being said, the developer and game type are still based on rumours so take this with a grain of salt.

I'm sorry that I flew off the handle. I get a little emotional sometimes, especially when things are relating to Nintendo but of course I'll check it out.

Pandora's Tower looks really intriguing. I was hoping Nintendo brings more "hardcore" JRPG-type games to the Wii and this could fit that bill to a T. Definitely one to keep an eye on!

Wonder if it will be turn-based... Kind of an odd thing to wonder at this point, I know, but it seems to be going out of fashion for realistic-styled RPGs.

Hey you mind and tell me how the Dating Sim aspects are? The talking to Elena part. I wanna know if you can ask her stuff. Or it's just regular in-story radiology

Pretty much you have the options to talk to her which just has some random dialogue which sometimes boosts the affinity, the option to gift her items which can be fun, like giving her a Dryad berry which she then turns into Homemade cakes for you or giving her a drape which she can turn into new bed sheets or a tablecloth and stuff like that. You can give her pretty much anything, but some will do nothing more than boost the affinity and if you just give her any old random junk chances are she won't like it and the affinity will go down. Besides from that there isn't much to it apart from when there is the occasional other option if she has an item to give to you or if you have some text you need her to translate or something like that. So yeah, to answer your question, you can't really ask her any questions or anything, it's all pretty simple stuff and doesn't really take up a huge amount of your time from what I can tell so far. It's still fun though.

So if you choose talk, is it like Animal crossing? Just something random pops up? I know this isn't the whole point of the game but it's something I still think is nice.

I believe that there'll be a few random quotes that she'll say relevant to the story at the time which will boost the affinity when you listen but then after that she runs out of things to say and then says pretty much nothing until next time you come to talk to her.
I guess it just adds another little element to the game to try to raise the affinity to the maximum level before you finish the game.

Can anyone confirm whether the affinity affects the ending of the story or anything like that?
The instruction booklet or something seemed to point towards that if I recall.
