So you guys heard that the next harvest moon won't be published by natsume right? there's been speculation floating around the internet that they may try and make their own harvest moons.

They just announced that they plan to show three new games before and during this e3 for Nintendo consoles (could be all 3DS, all WiiU or a mix).

I wonder what will they show. It could be completely unrelated to harvest moon, too. What other franchises do they work with?

They also said they'll be talking about virtual console games. Keep your fingers crossed for Friends of Mineral Town!

Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley for 3DS is the latest game in Natsume’s long-running fan-favorite series. Hiking your way through the mountains one day, you become caught in an unexpected snowstorm, and find shelter with the help of a faint voice. When you awaken, you find and help a kindly Harvest Sprite buried under the snow, who tells you all of the seasons in the valley have vanished except for winter. To return all 4 seasons to the valley, you’ll need the help of the villagers, the Harvest Sprites, the Harvest Goddess, and even the King of the Underworld! You’ve never played a Harvest Moon game quite like this!

Combining the best of both city simulation games and transportation simulation games, A-Train: City Simulator for 3DS is sure to be a hit with fans of both genres! As the newly promoted head of the local transportation agency, it’s your job to make sure that both the city and its transportation system run smoothly! From buses, trains, and subways, you’ll have to think about the best way to incorporate these into the city while avoiding possible bottlenecks and frustrated citizens!

Natsume is also pleased to reveal their first Wii U game, Alphadia Genesis! Boasting a rich, complex story starring Fray, a member of the local guild, and Corone, a knight. As their journey progresses and conflicting national interests come to the forefront, it becomes apparent that it may take more than a little work on both their parts if their relationship is to weather the foreboding storm on the horizon.

I don't really think they're in the position right now to make a full blown harvest moon on the WiiU by themselves...

But who knows?

I'm still hoping for Harvest Moon 64 and Flying Dragon, and I may as well toss in Rune Factory since DS support has been announced.

I'd love HM64 too, but it doesn't seem like Nintendo is even trying to get N64 games on the WiiU right now (they could still announce them this e3, though). The best case scenario I can imagine regarding Virtual Console would be them announcing FoMT and the DS games for WiiU, along with the missing Game Boy Color games for 3DS.

Maybe even a River King game or two.

Natsume's twitter account has been giving hints for the first new game they will be announcing pretty soon (today, actually):

It is for Nintendo
It is not for the virtual console
It is not for the WiiU
It will be released this year, hopefully.
They plan to have it available in both digital and retail

I think it would be cool if they made a HM64 remake for the 3DS. That seems to be a going trend (N64 remakes) so.. yeah. If there was enough added I'd probably buy it simply because it's my favorite HM to date.

Other than that.. the only thing I REALLY want out of Natsume is a Harvest Moon or Rune Factory for the Wii U. I also think it might be interesting to get a new "Legend of the River King" for 3DS, since obviously that'd be way to big of a gamble on any other console.

Apparently, retailers had all ready leaked it. Honestly, I would have preferred a Wii U installment. Hopefully, One of the other 2 are.

And the big announcement is....

Harvest Moon 3D: The Lost Valley!

Wow that's kinda surprising.

Not really. Nastsume has the lost the chance to localize the Harvest Moon games in America, and they've proably known that from a while. This seems to be a new game from a new studio that's using the Harvest Moon name since they own it.

Its pretty much Xseed having the old series now under a new title, so Natsume is developing their own under the HM name.

This is way more intriguing than it seems at first, guys.

This would be the first new Harvest Moon Natsume develops by themselves. I can't wait to see how things turn out.

This is such a waste for big E3 surprises IMO. Natsume doesn't need to hype up their releases, literally anybody can guess what they will be.

Except that we did not.

We recently got the news that they would not be localizing Bokumono Mogatary (or whatever it's spelled) games. Seeing them take the initiative to create a harvest moon game all by themselves is a surprise.

This means we will have two harvest moons this year, one from the original creators under a different name and another with the name but from a different developer.

Honestly as a big Harvest Moon fan, I didn't think Story of Seasons looked as good as it could, despite still wanting to play it. Harvest Moon: A New Beginning was kind of disappointing as well. I really hope this Harvest Moon will get the series back on the right track, can't wait to see hear more about it.

The only thing that bothers me is the "fully customisable world". Being able to customize your farm is fine, but the whole town and world? That's just annoying. I like it when the village would just slowly expand on it's own.

Well this is interesting, as "Harvest Moon" is now a new game competing with "Story of Seasons" which belongs to the original HM series but takes a new name. So Harvest Moon is competing with itself? lol It's too much >.>

Dont forget hometown story. What natsume is banking on is that the harvest Moon name has enough cache to beat story of the seasons.
