Nothing has been confirmed as of now, but this seems like it could happen. As a Gameinformer user's comment said: a concerned Microsoft is a dangerous Microsoft.

Mahjong is the developer in question. "Notch" is the owner of the company, and judging by the situation with Rare, most people (including me) are highly skeptical.

Microsoft Corp. is in serious discussions to buy Mojang AB, the Swedish company behind the popular "Minecraft" videogame, according to a person with knowledge of the matter.
The deal would be valued at more than $2 billion and could be signed as early as this week, this person said.
Could be the kick in the pants Mojang actually needs, and I could see microsoft making them function as the make weird sort of indie doggieoopsiepoopledoodle. This would give Mircosoft three first party games for the system.

Welp, looks like the chances of Minecraft being on Wii U aren't looking too good. Then again, it probably wouldn't even be up to date with the web version, like the Xbox version.
There is nothing here...except for the stuff I just typed...

I honestly dont give a bulbasaur, unless they advertise Xbox one or take it upon them selves to make minecraft better. We all don't need an advertisement for Destiny in the middle of Survival games, you know whad i sayin'?

The fact that Minecraft is coming to PS4 makes me doubt this.
Its already out on Playstation and the source is The Wall Street Journal tech section which is Fairly reliable even after Mossberg left and Lessin went to found the infomation. It wouldn't be the first time Microsoft has bought a comany that worked on games for a different platform. Lionhead was making PC games pre-fable and Rare was making Nintendo games.
My guess is this is to control one of the hottest IPs out right now as well as anything that they do next.
WAT!
