In their latest format change today they've gotten rid of Cube, GBA and 64 reviews. I still found those valuable for buying old games; which I think a lot of people still do, based on the brisk business the trade stores seem to be doing around here. Anyway, I kind of understand but I still think it sucks!

[16:43] James: I should learn these site rules more clearly
[16:44] LztheBlehBird: James doesn't know the rules? For shame!!!
I didn't realize they went that far back in the first place. I guess it sucks, but there are tons of easily accessible retro review sites. No big deal, really. I don't think there were really enough review submitted for a Metascore to be of any use, anyways.
Well, regardless of all the Metacritic haters out there, I did like and use it quite often. I did find that they were quite slow to add new info but appreciated the collected reviews and averages.

Just so you know, Gamerankings still host retro reviews, so you can always use that if you're interested in retro metascores/compiled reviews.
Of course, it's just one tool in the box but it was a useful one...well, still is...just not for obsolete systems anymore. Oh well, like some of you have pointed out, there are others out there.
I listen to people's thoughts on this website and the Backloggery more often. Some critics can be really biased.
Actually, the people you're referring two are even more likely to be biased, but at least with them you have a far better idea as to what their biases are, what they've played before, etc. So you can better adjust for the differences in taste. You can't really do that with random reviewers.
