At the time that I'm writing this, the results are 49.9% - 50.1% in favor of Gordon.
Ridiculous.
The results to this contest are rather unusual though, in my opinion. I was surprised that Sonic and Cloud didn't make it very far.

I love Zelda very very much and would have chosen Link without hesitating, if, they hadn't put him up against The Freeman. Sorry about that, don't worry I won't vote.

Here is the thing, a certain channel on a certain BBS are currently fighting to get Gordon on. before the it was the Bob and Bub.
We cant win against the internet itself.

wow...Historically I don't think a non-Nintendo character has ever won one of those....I don't ever even recall a non-Nintendo character making it to the finals...then again, I never paid attention to much on that site.

Gordon would win. He would shoot Link before he could get in to use his sword. It doesn't matter who you like more. Gordon doesn't have warrior's pride, he's not going to use his crowbar against Link's Master Sword. He's used to fighting hordes of relentless, violent monsters. As far as he's concerned, Link is just target practice. Plus, Link has no experience dodging or deflecting bullets (especially the kind of bullets Gordon has). Having said that, I think I might like Link better (mostly, because of Ganondorf).
