There were soo many new games announced today. The majority of them for 3DS. People wonder why the 3DS has recently seen success and the Wii U hasn't. The release of the all these games are key! Well any way, what did you all think of all the announced games and what do you think is left to be announced for the "real" E3? haha
Last E3 they had to split the 3DS announcements and WiiU announcements in to two different conferences. By doing these 3DS Nintendo Directs they won't have to announce a lot of 3DS stuff at E3 and can focus on WiiU.
Looking forward to: No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again

I hope you are both right and that a bunch of 1st party games are announced. If they could even come close to their 2010 E3 you can mark it as a tremendous success. That 2010 E3 blew everyone's minds!
Hopefully some Wii U games. But mostly E3 is there to really show off the games, and allow the press to actually play the games. So yeah, not much need to announce stuff there anymore, at least for Nintendo.
I"m putting $20 down that E3 will absolutely suck.
I am hoping that it will be a total barrage of Wii U games.
If it isn't and there are little to no Wii U games announced, then I think the Wii U is doomed.
It is no surprise to me why the Wii U is not doing so well right now. It has little to no support! If the Wii U gets the ind of support that the 3DS has been getting lately, that will totally turn it around! Come on Nintendo! Give us some must haves for Wii U and fast!!!
Mario Party 3DS, Zelda 3DS, Mario and Luigi, Yoshi's Island, Bravely Default, More info on SLU, and the VC info.
So more like 5-6 new, considering I think I left one out and then you add the amazing announcements for VC. Like really the announcement of EarthBound alone would have been too amazing, but no they didn't stop there!
@turtlelink
Is 4-5 newly announced games not exciting for you or something, and lets say it was only 2-3, scratch that "only" 2-3 announced games is amazing in itself!
E3 will more than likely showcase how amazing the 3DS is and will touch more on the titles we just heard of. As far as new software, they'll focus on maybe 4-6 titles that will be "system sellers" for Wii U for the upcoming Holiday. My predictions of the possible 6 "must have" titles are (drum roll): Wii Fit/Sports (combined title) - Fall 2013, Mario Kart U - Holiday 2013, Star Fox U (Retro Studios title) - Spring 2014 (tentative), Pokémon U - Summer 2014 and Smash Bros. U along with Metroid U for Fall/Holiday 2014 (probably only a teaser trailer for these last two).
I'd love to see an ultra teaser trailer for the Zelda U, but let's be honest here, we got a new Zelda in 2011. The release of the prior Zelda was 5 years before that. So if that's any way to indicate Zelda releases, also keeping in mind that it's supposedly going to be gargantuan in size comparatively, I'd say 2014 is pushing it. My gut says earliest for a Zelda U title is Holiday 2015.
Lastly, Nintendo will be fine. If any indicator, once E3 hits and if any of the above happens (which I'm sure I'll hit on at least one of these), and they bundle it somehow with the system, it will look amazingly attractive to people that were either on the fence or sit and compare the Wii U with the PS4/Nextbox ($400-$500). The decision this go around will be easier since the system will have legs with new titles and a nicer price point than the others which will share the fate of the Wii U's launch, if not worse.
3D Mario, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, another big franchise (Metroid/Star Fox/F-Zero), more footage of the games we've already seen, third-parties, Wii U updates and incentives...
I think we'll be pretty good for content, let's face it, no-one believed Nintendo would announce as much as they did this week!
