Hello, everyone—I am excited to say I have big news potentially regarding a Nintendo IP getting its own cartoon series, and I hope I am the first to report on this!

So I was just listening to an episode of the Nick Animation Podcast featuring Fred Seibert—executive producer of hit animated series such as The Fairly OddParents and Adventure Time—and he made a very interesting statement:

"We have a project now that we're doing that needs to go unnamed, based on one of the most world-famous video games of the last 30 years that we've had in our shop for twelve years without being able to get it started. But there were great characters and a great story, and eventually we got it going."

Because I'm not entirely sure how to embed a video, here is the link if you want to give the podcast a listen for yourself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmumWax-1bg&t=304s (Skip to the 31:51 mark.)

Now there is no official confirmation this is a Nintendo franchise being made into a series, but I can't imagine what else it could be. How many 30-year-old game franchises outside of Nintendo are still relevant and would adapt well to a children's network? Pac-Man already has an animated series, after all. Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda are the two big properties that come to mind. If so, I would be thoroughly shocked that amid all the Nintendo leaks to come out in recent times, they have managed to keep this project under the radar for TWELVE YEARS!

What do you guys make of this? Do you think it's a Nintendo IP Fred Seibert is talking about, or am I overlooking another obvious choice? Which franchise do you hope it will be? And what network do you hope this will air on—Nick or CN? Lemme know in the comments, and thank you for reading!

@Meowpheel I would probably cry of that were the case, Ghostly Adventures was bad enough. But since he specifically mentions "great characters," I don't think that will be the case since Pac-Man has like six main characters: Pac-Man, Mrs. Pac-Man, and the different-colored ghosts--all with very little character development. But if they could somehow make a decent new show out of Pac-Man, I'd be down for that, even though I'm sure your comment was a joke.
