I was one of the people selected to attend the #ImwithReggie event at Nintendo World in New York City last night. The whole night was a great experience and I feel so lucky to have been able to attend. Reggie is extremely approachable and friendly.

Amiibo hands on: these things are awesome! As someone who's spent most of his life collecting toys, I was very impressed at the level of detail put into the paint and sculpt on these figures. And while Reggie's Amiibo did get beat, it certainly played better than the average CPU character. I can honestly say that had I not been buying any before, I am definitely buying some now.

Smash Bros Wii-U 8 PLAYER SMASH!: Everyone got to take turns around the giant 80+ Inch tv for some 8 player (well, 7 players + Reggie's Amiibo) battles. It was an excellent experience that only served to get me more excited for the game's release.

Mario Kart 8 DLC: May have only been a day early, but we got to play the Zelda DLC pack on MK8. It was truly exciting to ride around the new tracks as Link. The Wario Mine track is pure fun.

Captain Toad: With so much to do, I didn't squeeze this one in myself, but I did watch some others play. It looks as fun as the trailers make it out to be. The ideas taken from the Mario 3D World mini game and expanded upon.

Gift bags: Everyone that attended got a #ImwithReggie frame (not pictured as I still want to get a picture in it) and a holiday ornament. My kids were the only ones there and Reggie gave them each a plushy; Braixen for my daughter and Toon Link for my son.

Edit: I almost forgot one of the funniest moments of the night. A Nintendo rep was showing my 6 year old daughter some amiibo figures. She picks up the Wii Fit Trainer figure and says "My Dad has this game, but he doesn't play it anymore." Ratted out by my own child!

But the important question still remains- did you ask Reggie about a sequel to Kirby Air Ride?

Seriously though, that sounded awesome! It's cool that you were able to go, even if I am a bit jealous.

For being you with Reggie, it definitely needs more Reggie. Thanks for the impressions.

I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.
