Every year in mid-August, a Bon Fest in Japan honors the dead and occurs in mid-August. Because of this, there will be no Nintendo updates in Japan for August 11-12, 2009.

Yeah, it was. They get enough games as it is generally so one week without shouldn't hurt them.

Let's hope this doesn't affect Americans and European updates too. Japanese who don't care about this holiday will be ****** about no updates.

Unlikely given the flood last week! Next week will no doubt cause the usual complaining though. 7 DSiWare titles (though three are Game & Watch) and 4 VC titles (three of them being VCA).
