Topic: Wind Waker HD bug? HELP MEEEEEE!! :(

Hey guys,
So a little bit of a dilemma I'm currently playing Wind Waker HD and I'm up to the Triforce fetch quest part of the game. I've collected 6 of the 8 shards and I have the Outset Island shard and the Private Oasis shard yet to be mine. My problem is when I'm inside Private Oasis I can't use any of my items and I know I have to use my hookshot to put out the fireplace but it won't let me use items and its really REALLY frustrating!!!! can anyone help me?? thanks guys

You don't use the Hookshot, the Grappling Hook is used for that (and is one of the few items useable in the house)
