Topic: Wii u Wont play wii game

I have a copy of pokemon battle revolution for wii that seems to work on the wii i have upstairs but down stairs i have a wii u and i want too play it on the wii u but for some reason it doesn't work it keeps saying the game disc could not be read i tried to clean it still didn't work what should i do to try to make it work?

Its that the only Wii game that doesnt work ?

This might sound dumb but are the game and the system the same region? Other then that I have no clue.

yep they are the same region it boots for like 5 seconds then gives me errors

I can confirm this too. I don't have an original Wii, but I too have the exact same problem when trying to boot up PBR on the Wii U: a few seconds and then it errors out, freezing the console in the process. Funny enough, it worked ONCE by fluke until I manually turned it off, so it's definitely not a problem with the disc. Only Wii game I have an issue with. Could it be fixed with a firmware update?
