Topic: wii u console problems please help

I brought a wii u for my daughter, I had it synched I made her mii I started the system update after the update the tv went blank and the wii u controller lost connection with the game pad now if I turn on the console the tv stays blank an the gamepad can't find the wii console it just keeps telling me to turn it off and move it closer to the console. Thanks for any help in advance.

Unlikely this will work, but...did you try turning off and unplugging everything for several minutes?

When you say "blank" what do you mean? A black screen? Blue screen? I'm going to assume that power wasn't lost during the update leaving your console bricked, and that this is just a connection error.

This may sound simple, but it is the known fix for your issue.

1.turn off both the gamepad and console
2.unplug console
3.hold the power button on the console for 10 secs.
4.plug the console back in
5.turn the system on using the gamepad, at first it will say the gamepad is not connected then shortly after it will register the device.
