Haven't owned a Nintendo console since Gamecube. Why can i not download Sonic Mania at midnight every oter system lets you pre download so you can play as soon as it hits midnight
@KcWright It's available now.I think it has to hit midnight in a certain time zone for it to appear on the US Eshop. Splatoon 2 was available for me an hour earlier than this though.
It was available at midnight for me and downloading it took no more than 3 minutes so it's pretty close to pre-downloading, is it not? Overall, Nintendo is a bit ... special with a lot of things people deem basic like Voice Chat.

@OorWullie Yeah it seems to have gone up for the whole US at midnight pacific time (44 minutes ago) which means those on the east coast not able to download until 3am.
@Grumblevolcano I've got my zip code set to Oregon so to avoid paying tax on my purchases. It just so happened to be 12am there when it became available. I was checking for the 3 previous hours though with each non appearance more disappointing than the last.
