Topic: Which Nintendo Masterpiece Should I Buy?

I got paid today and have exhausted countless hours into my small, but fulfilling Wii U/Wii library of roughly 5 games; 3 games I got when I bought my Wii back in December 2006 (Wii Play, Wii Sports, Twilight Princess) and I only have Nintendo Land and Black Ops II as my Wii U titles, along with the 30c VC games. I am ashamed with this; but I played my Wii for 5 months and never touched it again. I just got bored of it and decided to get into PC gaming, as I felt too old for Nintendo. (HOW WRONG I WAS!). I absolutely love the Wii now, just because how innovative it was. I got back into Nintendo, when I dusted off my Nintendo 64 for some Majora's Mask and watched the Wii U reveal in 2011. I had this sudden jump of fanboyism and pre-ordered a Wii U a year and a half before release.

I've clocked TP at least 5 times now, Black Ops II has no DLC and got boring and Wii Sports/Play/Nintendo Land is self-explanatory. Games are very expensive in Australia, as new titles go for $90 or more. I am strictly going for pre-owned titles, as I have $60 to spend. I am tossing up between pre-ordering New Super Luigi U (I missed NSMBU) and one of the various Nintendo masterpieces on the Wii. Please help a struggling born-again Nintendian get back in the groove.

Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 is like the best games EVER to hit the Wii if not of this gaming generation. The first one goes for cheap....

Was Mariobro4. No, I'm not taking off my backpack...it's important.

Skyward Sword is incredible, as is you can tell by my name. Smash Bros. Brawl is incredible, and if you can find a copy (good luck, lol) Metroid Prime Trilogy is amazing. Super Mario Galaxy 1/2 is also pretty good.

My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

Those two are giving you good advice I must say!
to add to that, maybe Donkey Kong Country Returns.

For the Wii U, you would need New Super Mario Bros U before getting Luigi U since it's DLC (at least I think you need it even if you are getting the boxed version...not real sure on that). That game alone though still seems to be $60 here in the US though.

Brawl second-hand is $79 (Aussie tax), I don't think Metroid Prime Trilogy was released in Australia and DKCR I have on 3DS.
I'll keep on the lookout for SS and SMG1/2 at my local store, they only really have Mario Party and Kart at the moment.
New Super Luigi U is coming as a standalone limited edition retail release.

You might want to try asking which game to buy in the universal recommendation thread which can be found here.

After all thats what it is there for and you are more likely to get an answer there then one thread that could eventually get buried.

This. Or you could try The Wii Recommendations Thread, the Retro Recommendations Thread, and the Wii VC Recommendations Thread, all located at the top of the Wii, Retro, and Wii VC sections respectively. Using the Universal Recommendations Thread will, of course, be simpler, though.

Yeah that too. I am surprised that they didnt stickied the Universal thread. Which I think I will ask them now if they could.
