Topic: What UPS I should get for my Wii U?

Posts 1 to 11 of 11

Look I went through some research and there are some specifications that are required for the UPS to operate gaming consoles like 550 V, 600 Volts and so on.

I have an LED TV Samsung and I'm planning to get a Wii U pretty soon so I want to know what UPS to get for my Wii U since I know the Wii U uses less power consumption.

After so long...I'm back. Don't ask why

So a surge protector then. Never heard it called a UPS before, but fair enough!

Belkin makes a good product. Not sure if they're available overseas though. I'm using this and it's been great to me.

it's technically a surge protector with a battery attached, though I personallly wouldn't buy one for consumer electronics if you have a surge protector, it's more useful if your running something that needs to stay on or be properly shut down like a server. You shouldn't need a super fancy one just for your Wii U, because it should use less power than any computer. I only paid like $50 for mine back when I got it for my Wii several years ago, and it's been perfect for my Wii U.

Umm....yeah so like what UPS was that?

Look I just don't want to face off bricking ok? Is it hard to ask what UPS brand i should get period? I know I can get cheap ones but the problem is that I want to get the one that works and has proper service.

I got a Forza one for my Wii and PS3, so I have kept using it for my Wii U as well. I guess any UPS will do, so it is up to you if you want to pay a lot for a specific brand.

I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

I have a CyberPower 425VA/255Watts, but if I were buying a new one right now, I wouldn't necessarily look to get the exact thing I got 3 or 4 years ago. I'd just look for what's a decent price, and maybe check reviews on Amazon to make sure there isn't mass hatred for the device.
