Topic: What is that string in the 3DS circle pad.

I've been wondering what exactly does that string that sticks around with the circle pad do? Not that I'm worried but I'm not able to find out the answer to that question.

the string that when you move your circle pad around? Surely you would've noticed it somehow.

But we need to know how many spacetime dimensions the 3DS can really handle. Nintendo wants us to think it's only 3, but I don't buy it.

there's no string that's the line between two parts of plastic, unless you mean in the code then I'm not sure but it'd be weird to have a character array(a string) for the circle pad variable/object. you migh also mean springs that put it back on neutral position(pretty sure it's made of springs and not strings)

I have seen it, but to me it seemed more like a cut in a disc of plastic, used to be able to insert it into the circle pad easily.

Why would we be able to see something inside our 3DSes?

I could see it when my mom broke off the circle pad of my XL.

And again, it looked more like a cut in a disc of plastic than a string.
