I just started getting this message and now my Wii can't read ANY disks. I've had it since 2006 so my warranty is up. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm considering opening it up myself to see if I can figure out what is wrong with the disk drive.

HI! BILLY MAYS HERE WITH THE WII LENS CLEANING KIT!
This seems to be a really common problem. I hope they've fixed it on newer Wiis. This happened on my Dreamcast's though back in the day.
Google search online, somebody's probably repaired it and taken pictures. If you're going to risk taking it apart yourself, should probably do it with some sort of random internet person's guide.
I am way too lazy to think of something clever. My Backloggery
I had a similar problem. I was trying to play Ocarina of Time/Master Quest on my Wii and as soon as I went in to the little tunel that goes into Zelda's castle, it said "The disc could not be read, please eject the disc..." But the game was used and severly scratched, anyways what I did was put toothpaste on it, the wiped it off with a damp paper towel, never happened again.
This probably won't help, I just felt like sharing.
yeah like they told...try official lens cleaning, if this doesnt owrk get hooked up with nintendos help line. good luck dud! you need your wii for wii sports resort!!!
