So I’ve looked all over for a simple answer to this question and no one seems to know. Apologies if this is a repeat question or if it has been properly answered and I’ve missed it...
Is there any pattern or release schedule for eShop titles on the Switch? It seems to be utterly random. Some games come out at midnight, others at 1am/2am etc. I’ve seen people quoting “eShop update times” but this time often comes and goes, and some titles due out on that day are still not available on the eShop yet. Today for example, Reverie Sweet As Edition is due out in the UK but it’s not available yet and the time is 19:48... please can anyone fully explain the release times to me?
Update: it’s now 22:00 and there are still three games due out today (6/2/19) that are not available. So they’re going to be out for a maximum of 2 hours on the day of release?! Bonkers.
Update: it released at 23:00 (6/2/19)
This can’t be the intended release time. Please can anyone explain the eShop release times?
@McDerbert I believe that there is a schedule for 1st party games, while others just release when the dev wants them to. It’s funky, I know, so I would just wait until the next day. Would I be correct in assuming there is no harm in doing that?

@GyroZeppeli No harm at all, just pedantic frustration. It gets annoying checking the eShop every hour when there’s a game out you want to play. Hardly the end of the world I know.
