Recently I have been getting a completely red screen saying this website is unsafe for my computer. It's happened about 5 times now, and it says some things may be at risk.

Does that to me too sometimes MetalMario.

Edit: I used to use IE and it done it all the time. I use Chrome now and the issue resolves itself and reloads. I just wonder what is up with all the reloading this site has to do. Seems like if you are on one page on this site more than 10 seconds it has to load something else over and over.

It might be your browser. I use Firefox and I haven't gotten any warning or notices about this website being unsafe.

Ive been coming to this site for about 1 year now on a laptop and have never had any problems. Lately ive had to do alot of web browsing with my DSi and it seems to run fine. So for all of our stakes, I hope not .

Sadly, it can be. Just as Slappy, who almost permanently lost control of his computer to a virus contracted on this site. He made sure to contact the staff about it, so the security is hopefully being improved.

EDIT: @Josh's edit: I have that problem a lot, too. Makes typing posts on the PS3 browser a real pain, seeing as it closes the text entry box every time it tries to load. In fact, I had that very problem typing this post.

This site has been harmful to my computer despite having the latest version of Firefox. I don't get warnings about this site being unsafe. I just the virus without warning. I got a computer virus on Saturday night on this site. The computer virus appears to be gone thankfully.

Solution: Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox (personally I prefer Chrome, easier to use, more secure, and runs faster on my PC). Don't use Internet Explorer because it's terribly easy to hack into and it's not secure at all. Plus IE sucks.

I too use Firefox cause I hate IE and I have noticed too that at times it will load stuff over and over when I am on a page not sure exactly what it is loading but I havent noticed anything different with my computers performance. For an antivirus I run AVG free.

Well, I've been hanging around since we were VC reviews & have never had anything happen at all...from what it sounds like, it's probably a browser problem. I personally prefer IE because of it's straight-forward cashing...it's simply amazing what you can find in a browser cashe after a day's worth of surfing, especially if you listen to internet radio obsessively... lol!
Aside from the technical aspects, this site has been known, as with anything related to Nintendo, to be highly addictive, & should be used in great excess! lol xD

It's dangerous to go alone...

Well, as far as I know, I'm not getting a virus, it's just warning me that I might. I have Chrome but use IE since my settings are on IE, but maybe I'll just switch. Thanks everyone.

As always I'll ask for screenshots and more information about these incidents - time, date, page you were trying to load and so on. With more detailed information we can look into this more productively.

Okay, next time it happens Prosody I'll get a screenshot.

It happened just now.

The first time it happened, it was on the Kirby Super Star VC review page. I went back today to see if it happened again, and it did. It happened on a couple other pages too. So I don't know if it's just on specific pages, or it's a problem my browser has with the site in general.

EDIT: The page completely loads, and then a couple seconds later the error above shows up.

"Reported as unsafe".

I bet Daemon Hatfield is behind this!

The ironic part is, it tells me to go to my home page.

...and my home page is Nintendolife.

We've never had any evidence of virus' or things that could harm you computer that come from this site. However, due to the nature of the internet and the fact we're loading components/adverts/images from 3rd party websites there could be instances where they are the source.

Like James said, if you ever see something take a screenshot. The one above is interesting and hopefully isolated, it only says someone has "reported" it, doesn't mean its been found to have an actual problem.

I've gotten that problem quite a few times but not lately. Lately I've had a problem where I'll click a tab and the page will load all weird and not show news articles and show the forum topics and screenshots all jumbled up, or I'll click a forum topic and it just shows a post reply button, no comments.
