While browsing the NL forums my internet browser started loading continously over and over on the same page. After about 10 seconds on the same page it brought up an error message saying "This site is not safe" and my url bar was red. Just wondering what this was about and if you all know about this or have had it happen to you?

It done it again. Here is what it said when I clicked on more information...
This website has been reported to contain the following threats:
Malicious software threat: This site contains links to viruses or other software programs that can reveal personal information stored or typed on your computer to malicious persons.
Is it trying to get you to do something... like go to a link?
My issue was a new tab popped open on Firefox and it showed a picture of what looks like everything under My Computer, then it showed a little red bar and a flashing message that said "Your files are being stolen!"
Then it had a link to scan for malware.
But I just said "Oh hell no" and closed the tab and all was well again.
It's the advertisement provider this site uses. It occasionally serves up ads that Google's anti-malware services have identified as dangerous. Just refresh a few times until the error goes away.
I started using a Mac about 7 years ago and I haven't looked back since. My wife recently bought a Lenovo Thinkpad and I set some stuff up and it reminded me how good I had it on this Macbook.
It would take some getting used to. I'm gonna start transcribing from home so I'll probably just stick with a PC since it would slow me down to have to learn the ins and outs of a mac, I'd say. I know it wasn't fun in high school to try and use one.

Lucky you. After I upgraded my iBook to a MacBook, my wife seized control of it. I think I have occasional visitation rights, but that's about it.
