Topic: Switch SD Card Data Showing Wrong Free Space

Long story short:

I recently transferred game data to a larger 128 SD card. Upon doing so, I have about a chunk of data that the Switch recognizes on the card that I cannot delete. There are some big games like Doom and NBA Playgrounds that I have yet to redownload, and they appear as 0.0 MB, as expected. I tried to find saved games on the card that are dated from "Dec 31, 1979" and that didn't seem to work, even though many were files that were multiple GBs in size. I have 55.3 GB remaining & the game data, screenshots, and videos only amount to about half of the space that is used. Help?

Archive everything, then format the SD card and start again.

@backup368 ok friend, step by step...

1: download the official "SD Formatter" from the San Disk website, since it's a 128GB+ card, format as exfat,
(it doesn't matter if your micro sd card is NOT San Disk)
the SD Formatter from San Disk has the best ability to optimize space AND recover bad sectors

2: Then let your Switch do it's work

3: reinstall all downloads AND saves and it should show up alright
