Topic: PS1 Games Are Very Pixelated On PS2 Even With A CRT

I've been playing Final Fantasy VII on my PS2 recently. I just defeated Diamond Weapon. After that fight, while I was watching a cutscene my PS2 started making sounds as if its laser was rapidly moving along the track. The cutscene was frozen with Rufis observing the Sister Ray while it was about to fire. The music continued to play. The disk has very few scratches on it. So I have no idea what is causing it. I heard the same sound before the old man puts the key in the music box in the City of the Ancients. Does anyone have any idea about what could be going wrong?

Your playing FF VII thats whats wrong.

Seriously though is it a slim model or one of the original fat models? If its the slim model I wouldn't be surprised if the laser is going out I had that happen on one of my slim models.

It's a slim. It only happens during that one part (besides the other time I mentioned). The sound reminds me of a helicopter almost.

I did more research and found a fix. It's the game. I do have another question though. Final Fantasy VII looks insanely pixelated on my CRT is there a fix or is it because of the PS2 emulating it?
