Topic: Some Questions about the System Transfer...

I'm going to perform a system transfer to get my games from my brother's 3DS. But before, I have some questions...

  • Is there a way to only send certain games or data over? I don't want my brother's Streetpass data, so is there a way for him to keep it?
  • If I unlinked my eShop account from his 3DS, and then linked it to mine, would I get all of the games we have downloaded without taking any other system data? And, would I lose my game data from downloaded games if I did so?
  • If I have games on multiple SD cards, would a system transfer send all of them over to the recieving 3DS, or would it only send those currently in the source 3DS?

If anybody could help with this, that would be awesome! Thank you!

One last thing. If I performed a system transfer, could I use a computer to transfer Streetpass data to another SD card, then put that SD card into my brother's 3DS so he could run it on his 3DS?

Might as well ask here, what about games with online? Like, I heard games like Mario Kart or Pokemon ended up getting screwed up or something when moved to a different system. Or does the transfer actually take care of that too?

The transfer sends everything to the target system, and enables it to read any and all data the source system created and used.

The source system will get formatted right after the transfer and it won't recognize any data from it's "previous life".

I can assume that these people's online data got screwed because they didn't perform the transfer correctly, it might be stored in the sd card and sometimes people will put the source sd card on the target system too soon and it gets formatted.

I have done various transfers and never had any problem with online games.

I have an alternate question; is there anything that doesn't get transferred? Mii Plaza puzzle pieces? Play coins? Home Themes? Joint connectivity with the Wii U Nintendo Network ID? Game Notes? Pictures? Layout of Home Menu Apps?

Got married.

Nothing is left behind.

I think if both systems have the same game installed, it will remain downloadable in the shop of the source system, but it's still deleted/unable to be read from the sd card.
