NLifers, I'd like you to help me on this one. A guy offers me around US$100 for my copy of Metroid Prime Trilogy but I'm not sure if I should sell it or not. Since we'll get Trilogy in its digital form this month it shouldn't be any more expensive later on.
It might be cool to have a physical copy of the Prime Trilogy, but the eShop release will make it so that you can easily purchase it again. Assuming you buy it from the eShop, you'll have around $80 ($90 if you buy it during the first week) to spend on whatever you want. I think having access to those games at all is more important than keeping a physical copy just because it's somewhat rare, so I recommend selling it and just repurchasing it from the eShop.

I would. Digital copy for only $10 and I get $100? Heck yes.
The price should go down if its available so cheap on the eShop too, but if Earthbound shows anything it might not. It all depends how attached to it/how much you like retail copies. For me I don't care which format it is as long as I have enough space left for download on my system.
I bought an used copy some years ago (for ~$40) and though I played it a lot, it never felt like a special object or something — unlike TLoZ Skyward Sword (... and most of my games). I guess I'll sell it tomorrow.
I wonder if the guy knows about the game being available at the eShop later this month. Oh well...
I'm also tempted to see mine, got it new last month for $90, the more I look at it though the more I don't want to sell it, but 90 return for a $10 download, sigh tempting.
I'd personally object to selling it; especially if its the original tin-cased edition. Though either way its still a highly sought-after game.
But more importantly, its a fantastic collection with one of the best trilogies in videogame history. Why give it away for a digital version with none of the cool extras like the art booklet and whatnot? Its something you can display and actually hold in your hands.
I prefer having a physical version of something I love so dearly to a downloadable file any day. No amount of money could convince me otherwise. Metroid Prime Trilogy in an actual box is more special.
But hey, I'm kinda biased due to being a huge fan of the series.
