Topic: Shared balances?

Hello I am new to this forum. I have had a Nintendo 3D XL and have used the eshop to download games. I have a credit on my 3D account, and I just purchased a Wii U. I linked my Club Nintendo account, but on the Wii U account it doesn't show that I have any money on the account. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way for the two platforms to share the same balance? I have checked for updates on both systems, and both systems say that they are up to date. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure that they're both linked to the same Nintendo Network ID?

The Club Nintendo account has nothing to do with this.

Near the bottom (on the right), select the system that you created the ID on. If you have not created an ID, you will need to create one on either the 3DS or Wii U then link it to the other system (the order does not matter)

Thank you Mr. Walkie Talkie, that was my problem. I did not have my 3DS set up correctly for the Nintendo Network ID.
