So a short while ago i bought a new 3DS and sold my other to a friend, i did a system transfer and it worked perfectly. I now have the games that i bought on eShop on my new 3DS and all my progress is also there. But the i encountered a problem yesterday when i wanted to download the demo for "Super Smash Bros 3DS" i was asked to Create a Nintendo Network ID or Link from another device. I don't even remembered creating one! I tried to retrive my ID with my email and birthdate but it didn't find anything. Is it possible to buy games without getting a NNID? And if i create one on the new 3DS with it remove my other games that i bought before? Thanks for reply
A NNID must be created in order to get some games from the eshop.
some games? not all? I have bought Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and Animal Crossing New Leaf on the eShop. Could i have done that without NNID? Gahh, it so annoying, i have no idea if i have a NNID or not! And i'm afraid of creating a new one cause i dont want my games and progress to disapear forever.
A NNID is only required to grab free stuff and demos. As for putting a NNID on your 3DS, you should have all of your save data and games after putting on a NNID. All the process does is merge your eShop account into your ID.

Ah. I thought this was for accessing the eshop only. My apologies.
Was Mariobro4. No, I'm not taking off my backpack...it's important.
