Okay I have a problem...should I buy a Wii U or Ps4...I am more of a Nintendo/RPG Guy and that means that I want a Wii U but the Ps4 has some games I want such as Kingdom hearts 3 and Tales of Xilla...I can only buy one console...so which should I buy? oh I can only buy one console until next year

The PS4 wasn't released yet, so Wii U I guess.

I made Sheldon & Mr. Randoms back on Flipnote Hatena, now i'm a kangaroo mod that has a funko pop collection!

I'm not keen politics since that stuff is spooky, I'd rather watch SpongeBob over Fox News anyways!

if you're planning to buy it in order to play games this year... shoot, i'd wait 'til next year. X isn't coming 'til 2014, and there should be more news by then regarding games coming for each system.

i own a wii u but honestly i'd say ps4, the wiiu is great but i really think all 3rd party support will disappear and it'll be just nintendo exclusive's although nintendo's games are great if your only able to get one get ps4 that way you'll have more choice of games between the release of the exclusive's.

im lucky and managed my money well so im able to get both.

I'm having a hard time deciding myself only thing I know is I wont be buying one this year, on the one hand I'm a zelda fanatic and you can only play that on nintendo, on the other hand as much as people say the 3DS got off to a slow start I don't recall 3rd parties saying they where taking a wait and see approach with it, yes wii u hasn't been out for even a year yet and nobody has a crystal ball to see how well it will do, but if all it gets is essentially 1st party support then I'll be passing on it I think.

Well, we really don't know all that much about the PS4 at this point, or how its game selection is going to shape up to be. Wii U already has 'X' announced, and it has Dragon Quest X released in Japan (though it's a MMORPG). It also has potential indie RPGs like Two Brothers, Festival of Magic and Soul Saga.

Adding to that, Wii U has a wide variety of upcoming games, like Wii Party U, Donkey Kong and Smash Bros from Nintendo, and games like Shovel Knight, Rayman Legends, C-Wars and Adventure Time from third parties. Wii U is obviously the better choice, because you get games right now, and all throughout the rest of the year.

Most exclusives will be on WiiU, as Sony and MS rely on 3rd party support more (3rd party support will improve on WiiU)
Online play is Free on WiiU, you get more online features though on Ps4, ( at the moment who knows what plans Nintendo have)
If you play on-couch multiplayer Wii U is the best system for this sort of play, most games will be catered for on couch multiplayer than on Ps4.
WiiU isn't as powerfull as Ps4, but Graphically a lot more capable than Ps3 or 360. Titles will be out later this year and from next year to proove this, at the moment 3rd parties have done straight ports which doesn't show true power of WiiU graphically.
Take these points into account for your decision. Being a family man with two children WiiU is the best platform in my situation. I'm able to play online, I get more games that are true exclusives and am able to play with the family/friends in the front room.
Unless someones a fanboy on a particular system WiiU has a place in most peoples home if they wan't it to be. Where as Ps4, Xbone offer more or less the same in terms of games/gameplay WiiU offers something different.

Games make a great console, not technical specs.

3rd party support wil improve on wii u? wish I could believe that as most of my fav wii games where actually 3rd party, but most news regarding wii u seems to suggest it wont actually match that, not even ubisoft seems set to support it quite as much, I get the impression most 3rd parties are waiting on wii u selling more before they put forward any more substantial support, which puts a lot of pressure on nintendo to shift consoles and without a wii sports type attention grabber, that I doubt even nintendo can just magic out of thin air I'm getting ever more doubtful of a 3DS style turn around, on the plus side at least indie developers have warmed to eshop.

Both will be very good systems to own, although I have to say that I'm personally quite a bit more interested in the PS4. The games and the potential appeal to me a lot more currently. I just want to point out though that Tales of Xillia is a PS3 exclusive and will not be available on the PS4. So you'll have to get a PS3 to play Xillia my friend, as the PS4 is not backwards compatible with discs.

Wii U may not actually get the most exclusives. PS4 is set to get 20 exclusives (12 of which, are new IPS) within a year of its release.

If you mostly want to play Nintendo games, go get a Wii U. If you want to have third-party games and Sony first-party/exclusives, then go pre-order a PS4.

Well do know a few RPGS coming to the PS4.

Final Fantasy XV
Final Fantasy XIV (MMO)
Kingdom Heats 3
DC Universe Online (MMO)
Elder Scrolls Online

Also the Soul Saga dev was looking into getting the game onto Vita and PS4.

Sony really hasn';t revealed their full hand but World Wide studios mixed with awesome third party support looks good.

Still OP you can't really go wrong either way and you could eventually get both. I'd say wait till TGS ad then make your decision.

The Wii U will have (probably) less gigabytes, but a free online connection. It will also have backwards compatibility. Plus, the Wii U is coming out with all these nifty games and there is also Miiverse! I don't know much about the PS4Z, so it would be kinda awkward if I recommend the Wii U without knowledge on the PS4. I may give you my opinion once I learn more about the

-The free internet is a nice factor but you do get free games every month with PS+ starting with Driveclub.
-I'm suprised Nintendo hasn't marketed that nearly everything from the Wii is BC with the Wii U.
-Wii U is looking to have a great line up for the holiday, but it depends on what you want in third party support.

It doesn't look as indepth as Miiverse, but sony showed off similar features to it in the PS4 UI.

I always start of with Nintendo, and well in the second half of the 'generation' I pick up a playstation. This allows me to follow Nintendo closely while being affordable, and later -also for way better prices by then- doubles the games available while you have a pretty good idea of whether the next Play Station's worth it or not, and often a nice redesign by then.

I really can't see the point of buying any of the home consoles at the moment. Wait until next year. If you have a 3DS and spare change now, get more games for that to tide you over until 2014.

@Sony_70: Oh, well what do you know. I am actually starting to like the PS4, though I still despise its lack of backwards compatibility.

I'm going with a PS4. It has exclusives that interest me, and has much more 3rd party support. They're close enough in price I might as well upgrade to a PS4.

My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

I'm personally going Xbox One, but you can't go wrong either way. If you have a lot of content from the Wii like wiiware/VC I'd say go wii U.
