My son LOVES Pokemon!! He plays X&Y on his 3DS everyday and loves it. All has been fine, until today when he is now experiencing "laginess" in the game - not when battling, but just when he's walking around in the Pokemon Center. Only thing that has changed is he downloaded Kirby Triple Threat from the eShop. Wondering if this is a memory issue? Has anyone experienced this? He would rather not delete the new Kirby game, as he will lose all of his data.... but I'm wondering if that will fix his issue on the Pokemon X&Y game? HELP!!!???
Hi Again Brewsky - <<<EDIT: Upon further thought, is the issues terribly bad,to the point of being unplayable, or does the game simply move slower, where you can still play, but it's noticeable.>>>
The game is NOT unplayable..... it's just bad enough to be noticeable and annoying to play.

No, the issue is not downloading Kirby. Pokémon X and Y has always suffered frame rate issues, especially with the 3D on. Does your son play Pokémon with the 3D on?

Hi brewsly - thank you sooo much for your reply. He does NOT have 3D on - he knows that does cause issues, so he never uses that. Any other ideas?

well double, multi, mixed and tripple battles lag normally even though they don't have 3D and single battles can lag without the 3D on but it's not too common
the battles are pretty heavy on the 3DS for some reason, now if it's lagging in the overworld there's something wrong.

goodbyes are a sad part of life but for every end there's a new beggining so one must never stop looking forward to the next dawn

As long as it's not lagging everywhere, then you're fine. Yes, it's annoying, but this game does push the 3DS to its limits.

Just an idea: does your son own Pokémon on cartridge or did he download it from the eShop? If it was a download, then I wouldn't rule out that the SD Card might be too slow to handle it properly, but it's just a guess.
