Topic: Permanent Yellow LED on 3DS XL

So I spilled Pepsi on my 3DS XL a little bit ago. Soon after I cleaned it the StreetPass LED flashed on and stayed for awhile, it then changed to bright yellow (which I wasn't aware it could do) and now it's on a very pale reddy-yellow colour.
The rest of the system is completely fine, I dried it straight away. I also had no streetpass at the time it flashed.

So what's up and what can I do?

Edit: It's now slowly changing from pale orange to red repeatedly.
Edit 2: It's now changing from pink to red.
Edit 3: It's changing from every colour under the sun

As I'm sure you're aware, liquids don't play too nicely with electronics. It sounds like the 3DS uses an RGB LED for the streetpass, which makes sense cause it's easier than using a separate LED for each colour they want to show, and offers more colours if they ever need. There's probably still liquid on those contacts, and voltage is getting to all 3 colours in the LED instead of just blue, or just green.

First things first, get that battery out of there. You don't want to do any more damage than what's already happened. Considering it's pepsi and not just water, you're probably going to want to open it up and properly clean it instead of just waiting for it to dry out. Or you can just enjoy the light show, and hope the LED doesn't burn out or your entire 3DS stops working.

On my transparent 2DS it's rather obvious that there's a different system, because I can always see a little bit of all the colors it can be whenever it turns on (the most noticeable is green).

Maybe that model uses different leds for that.
